Meals by Todd the Bod.

Ok, so you all know that I am capable of arranging an art retreat complete with a variety of art and techniques! I made the agenda.  I did all the study.  I had the power point ready to go as a reference.  However, I DO NOT DO COOKING!  And that is where Todd the Bod comes in!!
Like a shadow in the night, he'd swoop in, whip up some chicken salad, then duck out of sight into his man cave!  He even grilled for us one night.  And believe me when I tell you that boy can GRILL!!
Just this week, an older patient told me I looked so pretty when I came to the clinic in "real clothes".  Everyone is used to seeing me in my work shirt.  Anyway, I said, "YOu need to talk to Todd about telling his wife all those sweet words."  I was just teasing him.  He said, "WHAT?  He doesn't tell you that?  He SHOULD!"  In walks Brian, PT.  He says, calmly, "Well, maybe that isn't his love language."  And that got me to thinking!  I said, "You know, Brian, you are right.  I think Todd's love language is 'acts of service'".  He is not one to shower me with all kinds of syrupy lovey dovey words.  But when I need him, he always comes through!  For instance, tonight I am in Canton with my mom and cousins.  Todd is home taking the girls to gymnastics, getting Ellie ready for "Tacky Tie Day" tomorrow, bathing the girlies, and (poor, poor Todd) getting Ellie's clothes chosen and laid out for tomorrow.
And because he knew that the art retreat was important to me, he just swooped right in like my very own Superman and got that kitchen all lit up.  He loves me!
He even made us some little individual bacon wrapped, jalepeno and cream cheese stuffed chicken bites.  Way to go, Todd the Bod!
I think everyone agreed that my man can cook!  And might I add, my love language is not words of affirmation either.  I am more a "gift giver".  I think it is important to learn each others' language.  I was only kidding with my older patient when I said, "I wish Todd would tell me more."  I would take him doing the laundry, cooking, and vacuuming ANY old day over flattery with words.
But Todd, if you are reading, I appreciate and love you.  I couldn't imagine my life with anybody else.  You are the cheese to my macaroni.  Baby, You rock!!

And by the way, if you are reading this on Friday, the 28th, then it is exactly 16 years today that I married that awesome guy!!

HaPpY AnNiVeRsArY!!! There is a book that is by Gary Chapman called "The 5 Love Languages". I haven't read it yet but have been told you can understand each other better by reading it. Example....Its like talking to someone in Spanish or French or any other language....if you don't know it you can't speak it. So if you don't know each others Love Language it can't be hard to understand how the other express how they feel. Just a thought.

Your girls are beautiful and growing up so fast. Love the updates.

Happy Anniversary! What a blesssing to have such love for each other. I do think actions are much better than words! But, sweet words are nice too!

So can the recipe for those bacon wrapped chicken jalopeno bites be found on pinterest??? They look yummy!
