Gabbi does diet coke and GUM!

I know. I know.... stop playing favorites!

Two posts in a row regarding Miss Ellie Sue.
It is about time to see what is going on in Gabbi Girl's world....
Well, lately, she is digging 32 oz Diet Cokes. (No hate mail please!)
Gabbi actually handles a straw very well. She is not able to sip from the side of a cup yet. We are working on it though.
But when you are this cute... does is really matter?

Know what strikes me most about these pictures? ( Aside from her blinding beauty, of course)
Now, understand, it is the PT in me who notices such things....

But, Gabbi is sitting in the middle, with legs straddled out to the sides with arms engaged at midline.

"Huh?", you say.
Well, more than likely if you look back at ANY past posts that show GG's legs and she is sitting on a flat surface, she is sidecocked. Unless, I have just positioned her for the photo.

Typically, she NEVER sits like this. THIS, my friends, is progress. It means she is learning about her own midline and I am seeing it in other activities.
For instance, the other night, at Hunter's Birthday party, she was trying to climb up into the high chair all by herself. That was big. Really big!

I love that she is venturing out, physically, with more novel motor play. That is called praxis. We could have a whole lesson on praxis. But that is for another day!

Just trust me, Gabbi's praxis is improving!
And the other thing..... besides Diet Coke... that Gabbi LOVES is
"UMM"!

The child LOVES gum!

She needs help accessing it. (would you look at how pretty she is?!)
But her mama sneaks it for her all the time!
She can actually chew on it for hours! (Unlike her big sister!)
And then I'll say, "Gabbi, show me your ummm.", and she opens up wide, pleased as punch to be chewing it like a big girl.
This baby girl makes my heart swell!

Can't wait to see my girls tomorrow. Getting on my shuttle to the airport at 4:00 AM!

Mary Allison, you coming over tomorrow? I might just DROP!

GG is such a beautiful little girl...and always looks so happy! She looks so different with nothing in her shiny locks of hair.
The pic of her showing her gum cracked me up!
Safe travels home to your baby girls and Todd. I'm sure they're missing you like crazy!

Gabbi is just too cute! Good job Gabbi!! Bree would definitely be "hating" on Gabbi, see that she gets soda/gum! Bree get's NO SODA and definitely NOT GUM!!! Gabbi seems to chew it pretty well though! I cringed at the thought Bree swallowing it!! I blame it from phobia of when I was little and told that "gum" sticks to your ribs!! Definitely NOT the sugary drinks!! OMG the kid would be climbing of the wall!!

Love it! Gabbi is such a beauty-- so photogenic! I am glad to see that Oliver is not the only toddler who loves "Diet Shoke" and "Bum!" I would have NEVER let my other two have either of those, but Oliver is my wild child, and I find myself losing the battle of the wills more than I used to! At least he knows not to swallow the bum... he always puts it right in the "Chash!!"

Gabbi is a beauty! Do you have any "reasons" why Gabbi has motor issues? She's so lucky to have a mom who is a PT

So cute! We HAD a rule in our house...no gum until age 5 (not sure why that was the magic number...it just was). But we broke the rule at age 4 and started letting Jenna have gum. We still don't do the caffinated soda though....gonna hold off on that one for as looooong as possible.

Gabbi girl is a beauty! Glad to see she is making so many improvements with her PT. She is definitely lucky that she has you as her mom!!!

32 oz carbon drinks for such a little girl, are you mad? No really! Have you completely lost your mind?

And posting these pictures without shame?

Let's hope she won't grow up to be clinically obese before the age of 12.

Be a responsible parent and read about food please.
