Where in the world is Carmen Sandie-MO!

Dang, she's cute!
Let's start this off with this... NOW, KRISTIN, you KNOW I wouldn't keep my baby in a BROWN carseat! (Her daddy did enough damage with her ugly brown high chair!). However, she has been using that seat for a YEAR without it ever being washed. Ok, so her daddy said, enough is enough and yanked it off to wash it. They actually have matching carseat patterns, and I can't wait til Gabbi Girl is in a big girl seat so I can FINALLY get a new pattern! By the way, I have been asked this.... it is made by EmmaLu Designs. I can't let a kid who likes this many accessories to sit in a cardboard brown seat (for too long!).
Now, WHERE is MO?! I am in Concord, North Carolina. I came for THIS!! I have a few blogs that I follow pretty regularly, and most of them are artists. I get so inspired by the ideas and postings of these highly creative women! Donna Downey is the person who is putting this event on, and I am so fired up. It is my Mother's Day gift! (to myself! Todd, you can still go out and buy me a treat!) I am sad to leave my girls, but I have them all set up with sitters, aunts (Staci, don't forget Friday) and grandmothers... JinJin, you have the Saturday shift! Then, there is always good ol' dad who does a fine job. When I go out of town, I have some people who would LOVE to keep the girls, but Daddy-0 never agrees to that. He needs his little girls at night as much as they need him!
So, we will be painting, sewing (OMG), scrappin, and even doing self portraits. I should learn how to make cool personalized jewelry too. I hope to share that info with you all. Or at least as much as I can. Speaking of jewelry, I never got ANY feedback on the earring kit. Wellllllll??? Was it hard? DId you do it? I need to see some proof. Email me!
Well, after a long day of airports, changing airlines, delayed flights, and near missed connections... I am going nighty night! Hope you have a good Thursday. I will keep you posted on the progress of the weekend. I am getting all tingly just thinking about it! mo

Bwahahaha!

Ok, good. I don't comment on bloggers parenting choices, but I just couldn't sit back and let little Miss Ellie be ridin' around in a 'ol brown carseat without saying SOMETHING. :) Ahhh, the things we notice, huh?

Enjoy your time away. Looking forward to hearing about your adventures.

I can't get the link to work!! What is it, now I'm wonderin'!! And you're only about an hour and a half from me (I'm in Greensboro). Sorry this weather has sucked the last few days! Hopefully it the rain dries up soon!

And I looooove that photo of Ellie where she's wearing the necklaces and has the huge pink bow in her hair. Precious!!

Mo - What's goin' on in Concord? I'm only 45 minutes away. From the outlet mall that is - that's all I've been to in Concord! Is it a private event at someone's home or a public event I could hop on over to? I'd love to meet you in person! It's kinda weird to me to be from West Monroe, to follow your blog, and yet never have met you! Anyway...

Comment on Earrings: I think they are GOING TO BE beautiful! BUT the instructions were overwhelming to me and I keep putting off making them because I'm so sure I'll mess them up. Not to worry, I'm building up to them. I'll let you know when they are done.

Now, Donna Downey - OMG the site looks like it could cost me a pretting penny! I love her stuff. Thanks (I think) for posting the site. I hope you have a wonderful time and learn lots of new things. Can't wait to hear what you do there.

I took a tiny (hah) break to further explore Donna's site. Wow! Wow! Wow! That stuff is just sublime! Now I am even greener with envy, if at all possible.

What is going on in concord?? I only live about hour and half away. I see there are others that follow your blog that live in Greensboro too!

I hope you enjoy being here in beautiful North Carolina! We love living here too! My husband and I traveled through LA back when we did'nt have our 4 year old, it is beautiful too! We drove to Arizona several years ago and learned our lesson! That was way too many hours in a car with each other!

We have something in common,we adopted our daughter too!

Have fun!

I have the kit. Haven't sat down to do it yet. I love the look of it though and excited to give it a try. I think I am afraid of messing it up as I've never done anything jewelry before. I'll let you know. :)

I have the earring kit, but the wire wrapping was too confusing to me without actually seeing somebody do it. The pics are great but are really hard to understand for people who are not crafty like me. Anyway, I took a beading class earlier this week and that is one of the things they taught us. Once, she showed me how to do it, I have it down and it is not that hard to do at all. If anybody is in the Litte Rock area, I would be happy to show them how to do it.

Wouldn't you just know it? The first time you're within an hour and a half from me (yep, I'm in Greensboro too), and I'm in Florida on vacation. Oh well, I hope you have fun in Concord, whatever you're doing (couldn't open the link either). Have a good weekend!

Mo,
I think I have just figured out how to leave a comment, YEAH!
I have been reading your blog for some time but just now have figured things out, I am not computer savy (sp?).
I am a NC girl also, and live only 1 hour away. Like everybody in NC I would love to get to meet you in person too! Hope you enjoy your time here and have fun.
