The Easter Bunny came!!

Weeeeee hours of the morning, last Sunday.  There was work to be done!
And good thing we got up so early, cause this little one was up and at em around 6:30 or so herself.  She is the one who makes the sneaky part tough!
As everyone who reads my blog knows, we sort of overdo it on holidays.  Hey... blame my mom and dad!  They did it to us!  And JinJin CONTINUES to go completely and totally overboard at holidays.  (and I love it.)
Still have no idea if videos work on here or not, so I left off the really, really good ones, but this one slipped in.  Let me know if it works.
Since Gabs was up so early, she got some fun one on one time with mama.
We played paperdolls and put our words together with phonemes.  Easter Bunny did well getting educational toys which will enhance our kindergarten experience.

Gabs likes one on one time, anyway.
And isn't the Easter Bunny smart to pick out clothes and shoes that will be needed for Spring and Summer anyway.  And bathing suits and cover ups and beach towels.  Dang... that Easter Bunny is S.M.A.R.T!!

Later, Ellie woke up and announced to me in the bedroom that "the Easter Bunny came, and he left us stuff all over the place, and there is tape all over the place, so we have to follow the maze."  I said, "Oh, really?!"
She very confidently assured me that is how it was.  Hmmm...

And then, she REALLY was in for a surprise, when she realized the Easter Bunny changed his deal this year.  If you recall, he left taped mazes for each girl to follow last year.
This year, they were surprised by something entirely different to tackle...
 An Easter Bunny PINATA!!

Gabs ran to the stash to find her new umbrella to try to get the party started.

 Ellie soon joined in.

 But much to no avail.

Somewhere right about here is where I had lots of videos of Todd the Bod getting in on the action once he went to get his golf irons to pound that sucker!
 And ta daaaaahhh...
Candy, tanks, filled Easter eggs, ...
 Silly String, art supplies...
Yep.  Gabbi gave us the ol' thumbs up.  I think the Easter Bunny came through with some fun again this year!
Oh, and did I mention the new costumes?!  Gabbi got a rockstar costume (which I had to PROHIBIT from being worn as her Easter dress later this morning to church), and Ellie...
she got a new hairdresser's smock.  She got right to work on her daddy's hair!
Until next year.  WHAT will that Easter Bunny dream up next?!!

I love how you make each holiday so special for the girls. Yes you all go 'overboard' with your gift giving but there is nothing wrong with that. In fact I love all the practical gifts (like the clothes and educational items) that are made so special by the incredible Easter Bunny. Why is it that piñatas are made so tough now? Thank goodness for Todd and his golf clubs. Love your ideas and love sharing in your amazing Easter morning. I know all about that special one on one time. God's true blessings!

Sorry! I was just concentrating on the face and body. It looked a little like a pig to me. Cute idea and glad the girls loved it! Memories for sure!

Hope things are well! I'm not on facebook or instagram, but from some of the previous comments I'm a little concerned. Take care!

I so enjoy the little private moments with each of my kids individually. They don't always happen often, but maybe that makes them even sweeter!

Thanks for sharing.
