Some sweet memories made over the weekend.

Here we are at nighttime.  And Gabs has discovered that acutal music will come out of the computer and into those headphones, and she LOVES it!
ANd perhaps she has "inherited" her singing voice from her mother... just sayin'!  And it is NOT my area of giftedness!  For SHO!

However, drawing and art IS in my strength zone. And how about THIS!!??
Ellie drew that entire owl picture entirely by herself!!  I was pretty dang impressed.
In the meanwhile, Gabbi was still pounding out her tunes.
And Ellie was hard at work at another masterpiece.  Does anyone else bring an entire collection of activities to bed?!

Finally, bedtime.  And Gabs was determined she would try to contain Twilight Sparkles (who she has recently renamed "Lemon").  TS wasn't having it!!
 Saturday morning has arrived....
ANd I decided we'd just lie in the bed and watch cartoons and do a whole lotta nothing!  I am having surgery Monday, so I know I'll be outta mama commission for about a week, so we needed a little bonding here and now.

At least I have this teenager to make sure all the dance bags are packed, and all the outfits are chosen the nights before, and if she had her way she could also handle any disciplinary action which needed to be taken!  haha

ANd this one isn't going to understand it when she can't snuggle up and love all over mama for a few days.  I'll be hurting, I am afraid, due to a hysterectomy!  UGH!
And so, tonight, as I wait for the Magnesium Citrate to take effect, I remember those sweet moments from the weekend.  These girls are precious to me!  What a gift!!

Hopefully, I'll be able to blog tomorrow, but if not, know that I'll be wishing I could, all "uterus-less" in my bed recovering.  Peace out, boy scouts!

Wishing you many quick healing thoughts. Happy you had many special moments this weekend to help carry you and the girls through the next few days. Never fun when mommy isn't feeling well and can't cuddle. Luckily you have a huge support system and a great husband that are always there for you. Rest easy, take care of yourself, and let those special moments fill your mind.

Elite Sue's owlish quite impressive. Best of luck on your surgery. I had the same surgery laparoscopic over the summer. The recovery was quick. I needed magnesium citrate a week after surgery. Once it started "working" it really really started working.

I can't sleep, so I'm up and "lurking" on the net. Praying for your swift and totally uneventful recovery.

Sweet girls and lovin' time!
I pray everything went well, and that you're doing well, considering.
I know what you're dealing with, having had that surgery in 2007. Emotional, yes, but the best decision, health-wise!
Unsolicited advice: take ALL the help you can get, "SuperWoman", and stay ahead of the pain with the meds.
Blessings...
