Art in the condo and sand art on the balcony

I took all kinds of projects.  In fact, I'd venture to say that I took more art supplies than I did clothes.  I'm talking, like two FULL suitcases full!
I made the CUTEST little book of instagram pics of my girls from the spring of this year.
The cover was just a couple of pieces of chipboard that I painted very simply!  I have the Walgreen's app, so it was super simple to just upload my pics, and now that you can print them in 4x4 size, it is just a no brainer.  Super duper easy!!  I'll show the finished book son.
As I've mentioned in the past, Ellie CANNOT allow me to work on something without getting involved herself.  and so, she did!  I am glad she likes to create so much.  I think creativity is a VERY valuable attribute in life.  It makes everything more interesting, vivid, exciting, and of course, unique!
Speaking of unique... Suzy came to hang with us a few days as I have already mentioned.  I loved how she would "challenge" me with new activities and I'd introduce things to her too.  She had yards of canvas, so we just cut strips and made bookmarks (above).
Here's the next stage of my girls' Spring 2013 book of instagram pics.
Even JinJin got in on the action.  She took the girls to the balcony to work on Sand Art.
About half of it went into the little containers on the table.
And at least half of it went on the floor so that we tracked sand into the condo every time we went outside.  Once Todd arrived, it was all she wrote!  He slapped a broom and a dustpan into my hands, and we fixed that little predicament.  I'm a little more "laid back" about a mess, I suppose.
The girls loved the activity.  I am a sucker for anything art related.  This kit came from the kids' craft area at WalMart.

And in case you are insta following me....
This is how I interpreted the entire morning into a picframe (name of the app) synopsis.   I LOVE the new apps available on smart phones.  One day I'll do a whole post about my current favorites!! Until then...
