It's crawfish season.

Thanks for all of you for commenting.  I love social media (and a blog of course) because it helps me CONNECT with people.  Have you even thought of that?  That's why Mark Zuckerburg is a gazillionaire... he realized people's deep seated need to connect with one another and developed the software that is now Facebook!
And Facebook is so immediate.  You snap a pic, upload it, write a one phrase description, all within about a minute.  And within 10 minutes, there are 45 likes and 20 comments, and you feel you have connected with people!  I connected with Joan McGarry Kellogg (omg... now you are mentioned on the blog too!  hahaha) just today!
Blogging is a whole 'nother thing entirely.  It requires about 30 minutes of sitting down, uploading pics from your phone.  Another 30 minutes of turning them all straight.  Then, an hour to put them all in labelled folders, so it's not all a hot mess on your computer.  And THEN, you can start uploading to blogger.  Consider that to be another 20 minutes or so. Flash forward to the next day.
Pics are loaded, and labelled, so now all you have to do is choose the pics and upload to blogger.  AND write the words.  Can y'all tell my mind has been going 90 to nuthin?!  I mean, like a crazy lady.  Someone asked me today if I feel I should be medicated.  Hmmmm...
I don't know about medicated, but definitely need my roots touched up!
Heyyy, Lizzie Girl.  Hey, girl.  Heyyy, Lizzie.  Sweeeeet Lizzie Girl.  (That's pretty much how me and Gabs talk to Lizzie!)
But I mean look at her, she's so freakin' awesome!  (There's a bird... back to my story)
So anyway, as I try to learn to delegate more... (have I mentioned I now have a housekeeper?!  Yesssss!!!!), I might have time to do more of this blogging again!  I need to learn to delegate the uploading pics to computer part!!
Looky there... it's Todd the Bod.  And, in Louisiana, it is CRAWFISH SEASON!!
And this is Madison (Raborn).  He is Don's nephew on the other side of the fam.
There's not a lot of talking when the crawfish come out!  Todd turns his hat around, and we get down to biz-ness!!
Ok, well, so... here's the deal.  I'll keep on blogging.  You keep on commenting!  That way we both feel a connection!
When I type and get no response, it's like I am sending my words into space. (For instance, Mary Allison's Prom blog got 578 views and 5 comments.... what's up with that?!)  Where you be?!
And I have several of you who I need to respond to from your inquiries on Facebook, where you inboxed me.  I promise I will.  Just like I promised Crystal I'd describe her talisman to her... it's coming!  Hang on !!
I really hope you have crawfish where you are from.  They are so good!
I'll "talk" to y'all tomorrow!

I know this might sound stupid Mo but how do you eat them...And what part do you know how to eat...(as you can tell I'm not a seafood eater) lol! I used to go crawdad catching when I was little and we would play in the creek but I never even thought of eating one.... I love the blog and don't always comment cause I'm usually reading it when I have a couple minutes of free time....Just know I am here and I enjoy reading about your life and those precious babies!!

I used to blog myself and it is very time consuming; however it's priceless to have every special moment about my boys for those 2 years to be able to click on the web and look back at. I wish I could balance my time to pick it back up.
I used to be one of those 500 viewers, but going without a blog update for a while really made my realize how special your family is to me and part of my daily life...to connect.
Looking forward to hearing all about the details of my wonderful necklace. I've received so many comments about how neat it looks. I can't wait for the blog update!

my husband would love to have a plate of these - he will eat just about anything lol we have crawdads here, but no people don't eat them like you guys do.

and you know that I am always here if I comment or not. signing in and commenting is a pain too!!

congrats on the housekeeper - that has to take a lot of your mind that needs to get done! now if you could just clone your own body into about 9 more people you may be able to get done all the things you love to do!!!

Us northerners do not know how to eat crawfish. I really missed your crew for two weeks - so I promised myself that Mo does not have to talk to herself and I wil comment more often. Mary Beth from WNY

I don't know about craw fish....but when I was a little girl we would go crawdading (that's what we called it) on a creek on my Uncle's ranch.....my Mom boiled them and we ate them.....but there sure wasn't very many....they were kind of like little shrimp if I remember correctly....so we really don't have anything like crawfish boils out here in California....
So glad you are back....I'll try to comment more often - as I am always checking in on you....

I just can not imagine eating a crawfish!!
Those little eyes looking at 'cha! :-o

And I had emailed you a few months ago...did you get my email? It was regarding a HOPE bracelet and canvas for my friend who is fighting cancer yet again...

Not many crawfish here in Iowa, but it sure looks like you enjoy them down there! You are also enjoying much warmer weather than we are up here. Still fighting snow, so I'm jealous about the pictures of y'all sitting outside. Thanks for sharing!

Very pretty picture of you! I'm sure I am missing out, but I've never had crawfish. You know, being from the north and all, we don't exactly get prime seafood around these parts.
I'm glad you're sticking around to connect with us readers!

I'm sorry...but I just can't bring myself to try to eat one of those thangs. They do not look the least bit appetizing to me. But...I will eat oysters on the half shell, go figure.. I also love pork brains scrambled in eggs..grew up on that...wahahaha..Somebody could try to analyze that.

Getting a housekeeper will probably give you as much satisfaction as anything. Thanks for sharing...even if it is those yukky thangs..crawdads...LOL

I don't comment much, because I am very busy with my mom, helping her in what may be her last days, and continuing to try to recover from a major heart attack. But, I do read. I don't know if you read the comments.

I'm one of those 500 that viewed the prom entry but didn't comment. Congrats on the housekeeper. It is definitely money well spent for me and it's just me in a much smaller house than yours.

I'm one of the 500 something that didn't comment on MA's prom pictures, but I will now!!! She was GORGEOUS and what a blessing you are in her life!

I know all about crawfish ~ ya know, Texas is close enough to LA to get it!!! I'm gonna try really hard to comment on your blog more! :)

Hey Mo,

I don't know that I could eat crawfish. I love me some shrimp and even Maryland blue crabs! YUMM. I'd give them a try though. We don't have them in Missouri. We used to catch crawdads in the creek too but like others who have said, I never thought about eating them! I am also guilty of only stalking....I mean reading and not taking the time to write a comment. I will try to do better on my end. :) Congrats on the housekeeper! So jealous. Although, I don't have a BAH so I really don't need one. Happy Hump day!

Hugs from Missouri,
Shari

So, first of all... CONGRATULATIONS on the award! So happy for you! Bet your family (and patients) are very proud!!!

Second, you can't post pics like the ones from yesterday. Cuz we up here in Minnesota woke to 5" of snow on the ground yesterday! (at least in my area, some were much more!)I am soooo ready for summer! Perhaps I could move in with you during the winter and be your housekeeper?!? My daughter has been begging to put the trampoline up. Hopefully soon! It just won't stop snowing here! UGH!

Lastly, I LOVE reading your blog! Missed you for those two weeks! And I don't always comment because my life is boring and dull and I'm always jealous of all the fun stuff in your life! Ha! But I am a faithful reader!

Take Care and enjoy the sunshine!

Never had crawfish. Not sure I can get up here in NJ. Maybe when I visit Sami in AR I should drive down to LA and have some!

Missed your daily blog updates. Admit that I read your blog all of the time but rarely post. I will try to do better. Send some of those crawfish up to Little Rock. Love em.

Mo- Do they taste like lobster? And do you dip them in butter? As you can tell, I have never had one. Becky in NC
