Our beach trip...A mini book.

This is my little mini book from our beach trip this summer. It is fairly simple and straight forward. Seeing as how I also had to do a couple more (to follow) books this summer, I have made them very simply. Not lots of embellishment, although who's to say I won't go back and add some bling?! Anyhooo... this one is made entirely of paint chips from various trips to the paint section while building our house. I couldn't throw them away, so I stored them for the future. I haven't been a good blogger this week. Sorry. Not feeling all that great. Got some drama going on. (Don't we all!?). Stress wearing on me, a bit. BUT I am pluggin' on!

Hope you enjoy my little book.

So, here is ONE of the projects we will be doing at the big retreat in September. So if you think you may want to come... start thinking about the theme of your mini book. And color scheme. More to come.

Drama and Melanie to do not fit in the same sentence! Hope it gets better.

I so love your mini books and love when you share them with us. Like you said it's simple but so perfect. It 'tells' your story and that's what they are meant to do. I wouldn't be surprised if you go back and embellish it at some point. But again that's what is so great about creating them. There is no perfect formula to making them.

While Art Retreats are out of the question until the boys are older I fill like I'm a part of them every time I see one of your great creations. I know some day I'll be sitting in the BAH and creating with one of the most inspiring creating sources I have 'in' my life.

Sorry to hear about the drama and things going on ~ must be something in the air, as I have too much of it right now as well!

LOVE the mini book! I would never have thought to use the paint chips ~ great idea! I always tend to use "I don't have time" excuse ~ but I could so do this! My biggest problem is I have nowhere to keep stuff out ~ and by the time I haul it out, it is about time to put it away again. Would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to make the retreat!! Cannot wait to hear more information!! It will definitely be like winning the lottery to be there!

Your mini book is such a treasure! And, I just don't think it is simple. It is simply beautiful! You just have amazing talent. Of course you have beautiful babies to work with. Have a great day!

Hope the "drama" is past but it's a character builder - I always say I have enough character. Love the book ~ I felt like I was there with you all over again! Blessings to you and those you love.....

Praying for you! Now, that little book is PACKED full of cuteness!! Even though I probably saw most of the pictures on your blog, they were so amazing with your creative talents! Wishing I could come to your retreat! I will live it through your blog for now! God bless you.

Hugs from Missouri,
Shari

Mo, we all realize that LIFE happens and drama does rear it's head from time to time. Nothing is always perfect. We sometimes tend to forget our "blog friends" are real....and real life happens. Hoping today is better for you.

As always...love the mini-book. Sometimes...simple is good! By the way, I'm still looking at the dates and I have a good idea of what kind of book I want to make. I guess I will "concrete" my decision in the next few weeks.

Did I mention already how much I LOVE THE NEW HEADER!!!

I always feel guilty taking those paint samples, only to realize once I get home I only really like one out of the 5 I picked up. Gives me an idea!!!

I have to say that is the first scrapbooking we have seen in a while from you and it is AMAZING! I am going to try to do something similar when we get back from Disney.

Sorry about the drama and not feeling well. Unfortunately most of us can comiserate when it comes to that. Keep your chin up and know we are all her pulling for you! I only wish I lived closer to make it to your retreat!!! So jealous here in NJ!!!

The mini books were great! Thank you for sharing them.

I hope your life is somewhat calmer now and the drama has passed. Drama unfortunately seems to rear its ugly head at times doesn't it? Sometimes its best to steer clear of it but other times it sucks you in. Hopefully it wasn't too bad. I hope you feel better Mo, I'll say a prayer for you tonight!

Miss all your blogging this week. Hoping the drama finds somewhere else to hang out. Loving the mini book. I guess it's easier with great subjects like your precious girls. I can't make this retreat, too much going on, but I will be at one sometime soon. Hope it goes well. Did you ever find time to make the silver and pearl necklace we discussed?
