Better late than never!

First off. Thanks to all of you who helped me with deciding on the photos to blow up and to use for Gabbi Girl's invitation! Can you believe how many DIFFERENT responses there were?! See how hard it is for me to decide! Even among you, there were MANY opinions! I let Jessi choose the new blog banner photo today, cause I just couldn't! She said she felt the photo chosen kind of sums up the feel of my blog. Sooo....with that.

Let's skip ahead to my art room. I have been busy lately making a few things. I just can't quit making these cuffs. I LOVE them! And I have spent most of my unoccupied weekends in this room, getting it all organized and ready for my upcoming art retreat. I think it'll be September 16th. I worked with Jess today to have her help me solidify my plans.. i.e. the activities and timelines to complete the activities over the course of three days. And while I sit, working in my art room, I cannot keep my eyes off Project Runway reruns!

Look!!! Progress!! This is the fabric/ sewing section!

I actually look organized! I have so much stuff that it makes it hard to find a place for everything. But what that means is that I will be able to provide ALL the supplies for the art retreat! How cool is that?!

And want to know what we'll be making?! A canvas. Two pair of earrings. and a mini scrapbook. I will be showing samples of all of these on an upcoming blog this week. This is my new cabinet, hung to house most of my scrapbooking goodies.

I will be taking the first 8 people who tell me they want to be at the retreat. Be watching this week. I will have details regarding the schedule, the projects, and the cost of the event. I have a LOT of things to do to get the BAH ready! Namely... bunk beds!! Woooo hoooo!! I love bunk beds! I had the carpenter come by this weekend to see about building them in vs. having pre fab ones brought in. I am convincing Todd that our girlies will want them for years to come for sleepovers to justify the cost!

Oh, and the above is my new cabinet to house my jewelry supplies. I LOVE the color! Wish I'd done more stuff in my house that color!

Ok, well that gives you something to think about. Watch for the "sign up" post! I can't wait for this virgin voyage!

I want to be at your retreat!!! BUT... I don't have a crafty bone in my body, can't afford to travel right now and would have the most adorable 6 year old travel mate who could not stay home alone... so, I will live vicariously through your blog and watch the daily fun! Someday, you and I HAVE to meet in person... all these years of "knowing" you and we have never met.

Love, hugs and fleur de lis kisses!!!

I have some serious craft room envy. I've been in my house since February, and none of my crafts (stamper, here) are organized. Some day...

I never voted on the pictures because I couldn't choose. They were all so precious!!

Love the art room! I found the cutest bins at Dollar General that I have been buying for my craft room. They are bright colors (hot pink, lime green, blue) and make the room fun. I am getting so organized it scares me.

Man, I wish I could come to the retreat, but, hubby and I will be celebrating our 28 anniversary the 17. I was a child bride of 19! lol
