Talismans. Can you believe there are more?!

Got a few more to check out. This one is for Nora. You know, Nora, as in Kelsey's mom.

This was actually a Valentine gift to her from her mom. She didn't specify. Except for one thing... Include all three girls' names on the necklace. Soooo.... I did a little theme of birds. Sparrows, actually.

And because I had the inside scoop on what is going on with Kelsey this year, and because I know she and her family are all strong Christians, I included these little praying hands.

And of course, I KNOW they are all claiming a miracle.

ANd then, I put the charms on the front, one for Kelsey, one for Julia Kate, and one for Kelsey's twin, Josie, who went to be with Jesus on her first day in the world.

And then there's one for Mary Beth. I decided to represent each one of her six kids. Whew!

First, her firstborn son, was represented by a "rock". He is strong and reportedly a good role model for his siblings. He is also a chemistry major and brainiac.

Next, the "life of the party", fun loving son.

And then, the heart represents the little girl she lost to a heart defect after only one week of life. She had a congenital heart defect. She is remembered!

And the cross is her son who had a very close relationship with his grandfather who recently passed away. That sweet, gentle boy is still grieving.

And next is a girly girl daughter who is outgoing and spunky and fun. She also had a heart defect, but is thriving.

ANd finally, the baby boy who loves Legos.

Guess what Mary Beth... I did that without even checking back too check the email! That is how certain I am that these little danglies match these kids' personalities and what you told me about them.

So, Mary Beth. I hope this represents your word, "SIMPLIFY" and reminds you all year long!

Ok, there is one more for Nora. This one is the one which represents her word... EUCHARISTEO!

what can I say? I have to just let her tell you... these are the words she sent to me...

"I am reading this book right now, "one thousand gifts, dare to live fully right where you are" and it's great. It's all about giving thanks in every moment. Even the little bitty, never thought of being thankful for that kind of moments".

So I am thinking my word is going to be "Eucharisteo"... thanksgiving! The root word is "charis" meaning "Grace" and then also, "Chara" meaning "JOY".

"Eucharisteo -thanksgiving- always precedes the miracle". This is the ultimate building block of the book".

And with that... I made this...

I told her I wanted her to have "Eucharisteo" on the talisman because the word, in itself, should stop people and have them ask her about the word! And that opens the door for her to not only tell them about her word, but also about her girls. and her expected miracle for Kelsey! and that... my friends, is called ministry!
