Signs, signs, everywhere signs!

So I was just sitting in my art room and I realized how many signs I have with little sayings on them! Thought I'd share a few! That one kinda reminds me of Ellie! Especially that "tiara" part!
And this one is a Paula and Tashia kind of sign!
And I remember seeing this one several years ago in what appeared to be an original painting in Alabama. I really wanted to buy it. Now, this chick is famous, and I could probably not afford an original! I really, really, really like this one!
This is a luggage tag that made it to my very congested corkboard.
And this is a thank you card from someone for their talisman. I like, "Fullness of joy", and I liked that pattern too! Thanks for that nice card!
And then there are really tiny little sayings. And really tiny little babies too.
ANother goodie!
And I really like this one! LOVE IT actually! Planning on it actually!
It used to hang in my old art room, and now it is in my new one.
This is a magnet that hangs on my magnetic wall. I used magnetic paint under the turquoise paint on a big wall in my art room.
And recently I saw this, jotted it down, then posted it up too!
Can you read my writing?!

And I have to have an Engelbreit here and there!
This one is in my kitchen. I think it's pretty fitting for our crew, don't you?!
These are in my closet. Jin Jin painted them for me when I was a little girl... as in LITTTTTLE girl!
Check that signature date. 1975. I was 5 years old!
JinJin used to paint a lot. I hate she gave it up. She was good.
And I was totally infatuated with this paper bag we got when we checked out at Central Market grocery store in Southlake, TX, just outside of Dallas.
How dang cool is that?! I mean, seriously, I was inspired by a paper bag!!
"make the most of yourself. That is all there is of you."
So, did you have a favorite?! Let me know. I am interested. Oh, and share one of YOUR faves! I am liable to write them down and add them to my highly busy corkboard! There is always room for more inspiration!
Mo

This is the signature line for my outgoing emails... I love this saying!!!

"Life may not be the party we hoped for...but while we are here, we might as well dance"

I found this a few years ago when our family was going through hard times... Grandpa died unexpectedly of heart attack, 8 yr old cousin died of leukemia, 37 yr old cousin (father of the 8 yr old) died 16 mths after his son from a brain aneurysm, 26 yr old cousin in snowmobile accident left his paralyzed from the waist down. All this happened in 2 short years! ...and somehow we still have to learn to live!

Sometimes we ignore the good in our hands until we've lost it. - Sophocles

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow." - Anonymous

Ahhh - I see the screw-up fairy has visited us again.

I finally got it all together and forgot where I put it.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty well preserved body, but rather skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - WOW - What a ride!!

This is my favorite quote, I'm unsure who the author is but I love this quote... I hope you enjoy it too!

I've got a whole 30-something page computer document with quotes & poems I've found along the way that I love.
A couple of my favs are: "Sometimes the most important thing in a whole day is the rest we take between two deep breaths.” – Etty Hillesum

Keep what is worth keeping
and with the breath of kindness
blow the rest away.

"There are no strangers in my world, just friends I haven't met."

Mo, I so love my Talisman....I have it hanging from my rearview mirror right now....I reach up and touch it and spend a brief moment remembering what each piece stands for, every time I get into my car. Thank you so much for your "ministry"....you are appreciated!!!......BJ

Lately I've been following the "I can start my day over anytime I choose". It's been a bumpy road lately. I have sayings stuck everywhere too. Love yours!

My favorite of these you've shown is your handwritten one, the difference between interest and commitment. However, I also like the one that talks about attitude. It sounds like one of the "mama lectures" I give my boys!

One of my absolute favorite quotes is by Thoreau, "I would rather sit on a pumpkin and have it all to myself, than to be crowded on a velvet cushion." Also, I have this quote on my refrigerator, "You can lead a boy to college, but you can't make him think." (Elbert Hubbard) I don't know if those are very inspirational, but I totally relate to them in this stage of my life! lol

My favorite: it is posted on my desk:
A DAY HEMMED in prayer is not likely to come unraveled.

Like the other lady my 2010 was a wild roller coaster ride. LOTS of things happened in my family last year.

Love your blog.

Love the brown paper bag - next kite, is a paper bag and the one in your handwriting and, yes, I could read every word. I need to share that one with my older daughter - tough times for her. Thank you.

I don't know if my mom heard it, or made it up: "If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change the way you think about it."

And my current favorite: "If the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, water your grass!"

I am LOVING my talisman(s) - thanks SO much!

Hey Mo! I have alot of little sayings that I like but there's one that means alot to me. When I graduated high school almost 18 years ago my Nana gave me a grad card and she wrote this saying in it....It said... "When you were born you cried and the world rejoiced, Live your life in such a manner that when you die the world cries and you rejoice" That has stuck with me all these years and I even have it wrote on my fridge so everyone that comes over can be reminded of the same thing.
