Guess who's here!

DeeDee and Granddad have made it to Louisiana from Orlando, Florida! This was our attempt to ge the girlies to sit a minute and eat a little breakfast.
Gabbi Girl was doing pretty well there for a while. I told her she could NOT have a "blue sucker" until she'd eaten breakfast.
Dotti was helping me enforce this...
Pluggin' away at those Golden Grahams. Have I ever mentioned that Golden Grahams is my favorite cereal? Just for fun, what is yours?! Answer in the comments..
But WAIT. What's that?! Granddad caved! He was a "sucker" himself!
Earl just laid around and watched it all unfold! He kinda likes the new house!
This photo got in here because I happened to take this pic when I was also taking pics of the gang at breakfast. I had to glue it all back together because during the move, it sustained quite the injury. It is the only thing that Jake made specifically for Todd. He painted him a Hummer. And Todd looked like he was going to cry when it broke. I told him, "Just save me the pieces." And voila....
Miss Gabbi Girl is getting more and more independent!
ANd I am so diggin' it!
This one has ALWAYS been independent!
But not so much that she doesn't sometimes need her granddad!!
And I went to Wal Mart ALL BY MYSELF. It was seriously like a vacation! I think I hear the angels singing!

I'm not a big cereal person, but Golden Grahams rule!! I love them dry to snack on; throw in some chocolate chips for an extra special treat!! :)
I'm so glad you were able to glue the Hummer back together.
Enjoy your time with your visitors!

Honey Nut Cherrios. I'm 61 and I can still remember going to my grandparents to visit and them coming to see us. They are some of the most wonderful memories I have. You are making the most wonderful memories for your girls. Memories HAVE to be made, you cannot buy them. And then getting to go to Walmart alone is a REAL plus!

I am actually enjoying a bowl of fruity pebbles as I read this post! But my favorite would be quaker squares as a snack...not a huge milk fan!

You must make marshmallow treats out of golden grams! (you know, in your spare time! HA) They are definitely the bomb.com!!

Glad you got to enjoy walmart all alone!

Hugs from Missouri,
Shari

I guess you can just buy them in the store but I know homeade ones are the best!

3 c. miniature marshmallows
2/3 c. Karo light corn syrup
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. peanut butter chips
1 pkg. (10 oz.) Golden Graham Cereal

Butter baking pan. Heat corn syrup, butter and chips just to boiling stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour over cereal in large bowl. Toss quickly. Fold in marshmallow and press into pan.

Have Stacey make them!!

In true Weight Watchers style I should say that my favorite cereal is Special K or Raisin Bran or something else super healthy like that. If I am being honest I will say that I LOVE Captain Crunch and Cookie Crisp.

Your house is looking so much like a home already!

I always really looked forward to having the grandparents come visit when my kiddos were little. It helped SO much just to have the extra sets of hands.

I hope your season of "busy" slows down soon and you are able to take longer and deeper breaths.

Oh, and my favorite cereal is actually oatmeal (or cream of wheat). I know... boring! It's a childhood memory though - my dad and I used to eat on the weekends and it is TOTAL comfort food for me.

My favorite cereal is oatmeal. Really! I love it made with milk in a nice heavy pan on the stove. Serve with fresh fruit - strawberries and pineapple both cut up are the bomb-diggity - and raw sugar. I have that six days a week.

I remember visiting my grandparents and my great-grandmother. We all lived in the same town, so it was different. My children loved visiting their grandparents, and still do.

I adore our grandgirlies, and see them as often as possible. Wish they lived closer!
