Gabbi is a lucky girl.

Yep. Gabbi is lucky. To have such a HELPFUL big sister, that is!

"Come here, Gabbi Girl, let me teach you how to walk."
"See all the big girls are walking. You just need to step out with your foot."
"I can hold onto your shoulders, like such, and then you will be safe to try. Want to?""Oh, and Gabbi. When you get really good at that. I can teach you to do tricks."
"You will do them like this little baby. (affectionately known as Sue Groves)"
"annnnnnd, there you have it. A front roll!"

Gabbi: "Ellie, thanks! That is so cool. Look, I think I will try it."
"Yaaaaaay. Way to go, Sue Groves."
"and now for the grand finale.... watch. Take notes. and Learn!"
More "yaaaaaaay" from Gabbi!
"And that concludes your tutorial for the night, Gabbi girl"

These pics were taken right after I was holding Gabbi's hands and helping her walk. Ellie preceeded to try to help her in the same manner, but God forbid, I share those pics on the web, or someone may think I am threatening my kid's safety. Soooooo, when I told Ellie that I would be the one teaching Gabbi to walk, she went to get Sue Groves and this is what I witnessed. I thought it was too cute not to share. Even if my kids look like they came out of squaller to be photographed!

When and HOW do you decide when it is haircut time!? Barrettes just pull it out of the way, and I don 't want to do the bang thing. So, I suppose, we just keep on growing?!

Ok. Just wanted to share a cute moment between sisters! Mo

That Ellie is such the multi-tasker.....walking tutorial, gymnastics tutorial...what's next, hair and makeup? I need to be there for that one. OH, no! It's gotta be beading 101! :) They are so sweet and I love how close they are! Well, we did the mullet thing for a while, if you remember!!! We just kept on sweeping the sweepies over to the side and plopped that bow on top (we do that well though) :) At about 27 months is when we went for the big haul! It was a shock because her hair was long and flipped in the back, but was the best thing we've done!! Ellie has so much curl that you might have to keep sweeping......NO BANGS here either!!! Whew Nelly! So, keep ponying on!!

Such sisterly love. Does it get any better than that? Makes me wish my daughter had a sister. :>)

Simply precious. you do what you feel with the hair. I have went through soo many bows with Sabre' she is almost 11 and never had her hair cut other than the basic trim. I decided early on that I was sooo NOT going to do the bang thing. We do a LOT of pony tails now though. Gabbi is blessed to have a helpful big sister and both are equally blessed to have such wonderful parents. Mo YOU ROCK as a MOMMY

Very cute!

I am just growing out Audrey's hair also. It drives me nuts, it's always in her face if there is no barette, but like you, I do not want to do the bangs thing. Surely in a few months this hard work will be rewarded with some ruly hair that has some similarity to a style.

OMG! Mo, maybe I'm slow, and maybe you've had the new "headline shot" (I don't know the correct term), but I LOVE the new beach pic. If it's not new, and if it's been there... I love it anyway.

You have such a smart little one on your hands. I LOVE it that she's a already teaching!

So cute! But I totally wanted to see the pics of Ellie helping Gabbi girl walk. That used to be my entertainment!! Those people suck and you shouldn't let them ruin our fun! :) Have a good week!

Those were cute!! With Jenna, I wanted to let her bangs grow out too but since her hair was so out of control I did trim it just to even it up a bit. Then...I just let those bangs grow and kept trimming the back.

Ummm....can't help you with the hair issue. We just buzzed the boys' heads when they were little! lol

That is so sweet of Ellie to try and teach Gabbi how to walk. Oh, Mo, you are gonna be soooo busy when Gabbi figures out walking! ;-)

Precious girlies! I listened to my mother when our girls were little, and just kept all that hair evened up so the stragglies were somewhat contained. We didn't do bangs, either.

Macie's hair can get really bad since I am trying to avoid the bangs.
