Guess who is 9 months old today!

THIS SWEET ANGEL! Today marks 9 months since she was placed in my hands. I got to cut her little cord, and noticed her sweet little lips the very minute she came into the world. Her upturned mouth was and remains one of my favorite little traits of my baby girl!

That... and that she likes the beach! She really, really likes it! Unlike this little knucklehead! After hanging out in JinJIn's arms just about the whole time, she decided she would get down and try out the bucket and shovel I brought down. I really think it was probably more about her sissy, Gabbi, playing with "her" toys without her able to intercede! So she got down and pretended to LOVE the "shubble". Notice, she still didnt' take off her Crocs. By the way, Lindsay, her "Cwocs" have become just about as exciting to her as her boots! At least they go with beach attire a little more naturally!
We tried letting her sit on my lap for awhile. Look at my big girl, Gaggi, sitting on the sand. Ellie, on the other hand, is too thenthitive for that!
While I had the girls, I also snagged the camera. This is mom and Miss Mickey who have been life savers. If there is one thing we have learned for SURE... it is that Ellie MUST take a nap during the day! Oh man, she was a MONSTER last night! She never really got her nap out, and as the night wore on, we it led into even a poor night of sleep. She WILL be napping today! And you KNOW I take about a gazillion pictures, but I don't know if there will be days (until Staci and sitters get here) where I will have this many in a day! Having Miss Mickey here meant an extra set of hands. So... we have lots of them on this day! I love this picture. I think it needs to be blown up too. All these girly girls.. and on one of the best placest on earth.Since Ellie Sue wasnt' really "feeling" the sand, we headed back up to the pool. I know, I know. Probably shouldn't be showing htis perspective, but I was seriously taken aback when I saw it. I mean, obviouslyI know that I am a mother. But seeing this picture just really slammed it home to me. I love the "responsibility" it shows of my lugging one along while pleading with the other to come on and keep up. Dang... I am very mama-like! So, up to the pool to rinse our little bodies of the sand! Again... Ellie said, "Heck, no!" She sat there and dipped her Crocs in and howled with laughter as she dipped and poured, dipped and poured. As you can imagine, it wasn't really all that funny, but she wants to be the center of attention, and since Gabbi Girl was out there swimming with me, she wanted me to think her "game" was just a scream! Gabbi and I just kept right on swimming. I suspect Ellie will get out there within the next few days. Gabbi could NOT get enough of it. She liked me bobbing her up and down. She liked it when I spun her around really fast. And she even liked it when she splashed her little hands in the water and it splashed in her face.
So this is my sweet angel. I can hardly believe she is nine months old! I am so happy that she is part of this family! So precious!

Oh, baby girl, we have lots more adventures to share!

It's great that you are able to take the time to enjoy your family for the month. Have a great time!

All the pictures are precious, but that last picture, is priceless!!! You should frame that and put it in Gabbi's room. I just love it!!! Where are you exactly (what beach) for us northern folks who don't have a clue what beach is down your way. I understand if you don't want to say (because this is the interenet). But I was wondering.

So sweet!! Just had to share a little story with you......my son has been asking a lot of questions about a little girl on his tball team who was adopted from China, so we read the Johnny Jackelope book tonight and talked about adoption and hope and baby Jake. I explained to him about how the lady who wrote the book wrote it for someone who wanted to adopt a baby too. He was super happy to find out that she found not one, but two special little girls. :O) Hope you and your two special girls have a blast at the beach.

Mo...Ive been following your blog for a long time now - it was introduced to me by my BF Katie. She just couldnt get enough of your blog - she followed Jake's blog first then yours. Then I fell in love too! We love your family - my hubby and I are not as fortunate to have close family so I love to hear your stories. My hubby and I have 2 yr old triplets & I have just cracked up at the similar things that our children do. I have a huge favor to ask you - not that you are not busy enough and on vacation BUT can you please tell me everything and anything you think I should know about the lapband. I am scheduled for June and SO nervous and keep going back and forth then BING! Katie and I thought - ask MO!!! Thanks for your help with this & BTW...keep us laughing and smiling!

Oh my...what fun! How funny that Ellie is dating the beach and keeping her distance. I would have thought, after last year's trip, that she would have been head first......literally!! Maybe she'll warm up soon!!! She's my little croc girl!! I want to go back and get more-Bowen has almost grown out of the ones I bought her 2 months ago. Can you believe that? Gabbi is such the happy girl. She was really playin in that sand. She's a beach babe....and those matching bathing suits, again.......adorable. I have some fabric that's kinda like that that I LOVE!! I'll bring it when I see you next, I mean first, I mean......oh, you know!!!!!:)))

I adore the love that you show for your girls. And that your entire family shows for each other for that matter. I wish I had that.

I love the last two pics of you and Gaggi girl...you definately need to blow those up Mo.
Ellie is a hoot, playing all shy with the sand and all. My son was like that when he was little but he loves it now....I thought it was sensory issues, cuz he didn't like anything with texture, touching, etc but that is another story lol. Glad that you have the extra set of hands with you. We did it last year, just hubby and I with all5 kids, two that were 4 and 3 so its a bit hairy I know...Keep posting and enjoying, I LOVE reading your love for your family. Happy 9 mos to that sweet precious little Angel

happy 9 months gabbi!! Seems like these months are FLYING by! There are some awesome pictures in there!

Luckily y'all are staying a couple more weeks...maybe ellie will join in on the fun before it's over! LOVE their swimsuits!! It's my favorite!! I was so sad the other day when I couldn't find hazel's size!! Her grandmother, which she's named after, loved seahorses...and it's even cuter on!

Happy 9 month birthday Gaggi Gull!!! Is there ANYthing that baby doesn't like? She just goes with the flow.....I don't think I've ever seen a child as laid back as her! I guess she is making up for all those sleepless nights you had when she was an itty bitty with reflux! Ellie is funny--wanting to get your attention while you were in the pool with Gabbi. She's a smart one isn't she? These pictures are great--keep 'em coming!
