all day long #2.

So here is the low down. The day is moving right along, and this is where I am still sitting... But, please note that it is nice and clean, because I have plenty of time on my hands!
That would be because while Ellie and Massanon are outside enjoying this...
(that is them in the baby pool... look closely!)I am inside waiting on this....and eating this....
(oh my gosh. I LOVE Harry and David's! I am going back! This is a pineapple and roasted pepper dip over cream cheese. Ummmm Lapband LOVE!)

Oh, and I am watching this....

Cause remember TOdd is golfing and I dont' know how to watch TV, and thank the LORD, Todd bought a DVD last night. SCORE!

I sit here on the couch, watching my video and looking down off the balcony.... I see that little empty set of chairs right at the end of the boardwalk to the right. Yep, those would be the ones I bought yesterday for the next 17 days. And I am NOT getting my money's worth! But that is ok... cause look at this again...A little back story...

When I last visited with you, we were having breakfast. Somewhere during that time, I noticed some too long nails. SO, as promised, to include you in our virtual vacation... this happened next...toenail grooming!and fingernail grooming...x2!Just regular little moments! We were checking out the balcony and getting so excited about hitting the sun and surf.

Masson even went and started the process of getting suits and cover ups on. While she was chasing you know who around the room for suit number two, baby girl started wailing. That kind of wail that means, I am hungry and tired! so.....Mom got started on formula duty!

and a few more things... like...Band aid duty! Because Sue Sue won't stop picking her scabs from mosquito bites!

Eventually, we did catch her and get her suited up too! She found some lotion and decided it should fill the shells. and very shortly after that, she decided she was ready to roll! literally! Oh, and please note... second pair of shoes on the day! "Cwocs"!This is Massanon reluctantly leaving me and GG in the room to entertain Miss Thang! Tag teaming! So while Gabbi and I hugn out in the room together, Massanon and Ellie were down here at the baby pool. Can you see them? Far right! Yay for Ellie. Getting in the baby pool now! Baby steps!
and this is for a hopeful explanation. WHY when I take my camera out does it do this? I mean I know it is the moisture in the air and the heat from coming out of the cold into the heat. But... what can I do about it? You photographers out there have a suggestion? I take my whole camera apart and clean the fog off the internal lens and mirrors and such. But I know this is not a good thing. Anyhoo... if you have suggestions, let me know!
But the worst thing of ALLLLLLLL... is this....It is my fever blister, and I HATE it! Actually, I should say, "fever blisters!" They are on both sides of my lower lip!
Again any suggestions? I am taking an oral med and using Campho Phenique and Abreva. But gosh the healing is slow! My poor lips are serioulsy killing me! At least you virtual vacationers will not be suffering from the sun damage on the lips. Ugh.

We will visit again soon!

The girls are precious....I love coming here seeing Gabbi's smile and Ellie's daily antics!! For the fever blister - Lisene - comes in the vitamin section in pill form and the lip balm and works wonders - like very quick! Enjoy your trip...

This is so much fun! Thank you! I am having a dull, sloggy (yes, I mean sloggy - sort of describes itself, that word does) kind of day here at work and it has been raining for DAYS and NOW, today, it is not only raining - it is chilly!! Have I been transported to Seatlle somehow? So, to get to see the fun of your day - even the waiting for napping babies, and bandaide duty and nail trimming and to get a glimpse at your beach and pool view and to see the ocean and the awaiting beach chairs brings a lot of cheer and smiles and optimism to this sloggy lady who is stuck in the Midwest - the Mississippi River view I have from the office window is NOT the same as yours - keep it coming, Mo, I may just make it through this day yet! My daugther is in an outdoor wedding tomorrow evening....please, someone, turn off the rain before then!

Well I feel your pain on the fever blisters... I get them too if I don't use a chapstick with an SPF in it. I've found that carmex helps and you can even take lysine to help prevent them in the future! Hope that helps!

Oh I get those too if I don't use like 70 SPF, I have a prescription cream and pill I take. I'll try to remember to get the names for you tonight. As soon as I feel the "tingle" I start using both and it seariously dries it up and it never pops out as a bump!!

You need some Zovirax. Do you have someone that could call you some in? It is NOT over the counter, but is so worth the effort to get it! My dentist calls mine in for me! Abreva does not do the trick for me at all!

ok here is my advice on the fever blsiters as I get them a lot from hormone surges and stress. my dr put me on the meds that people with herpeese take its called valtrex. AND NO I DO NOT HAVE HERPESE roflmao. IT works... Call your dr get a script and take them when you feel them comming up.. it takes them away with in 24 hours and takes the pain away.

Valtrex....and then you need to take a picture on the beach with Todd and caption it.... "nothing in my way.." Don't you just HATE those commercials!!

ok for what it is worth... when i go to the beach the same thing happens with my camera so i just let it sit for a few min on the deck before we go down and it adjust to the temp... My husband read in prevention magazine many years ago (more than 20) that the vitamine dolomite would keep the fever blisters away so this is what he does, when he feels one coming on he takes 3 dolomite tabs 3 times a day, and the blister never burst forth!! hope this helps

Love the pics, keep em coming.... I use herpacin and it works when abreva and all the other stuff doesn't. I guess each person reacts differently. I get them when I am down there too.
Have you gone and gotten a massage yet? I LOVE the massages they give there. We are getting so much rain that I can look at a mini lake out my back door, but its not the beach...soooooooo jealous..I could come keep your chairs warm ya know.

I am laughing at everyone's comments! You've started something with a day in the life.............oh, mo, oh, no!!!!!

Guess what? I found a lime green sand bucket with a red handle today.......it needs some red letters!!

Zinc oxide for the lips. You can buy the neat hot pink and blue colors. Have fun at the beach.

In the supplement section of Wal-mart or other drug store I expect, try a supplement called L-Lysine. My family gets them really bad and these work like a charm.

Bless your heart...I can't remember ever having fever blisters. I can't help you with that one!

I love Harry and David's too! Their pears are delicious!

Lovin' the pics...keep 'em coming! You're bringing back fond memories for me of when my boys were little. Nail clipping was always an adventure. :-)

Mel -
Same thing happens to my camera on occasion. I first noticed it this winter when we had an indoor swimming party. Cold outside but, warm and a little humid inside. I FREAKED OUT and called the Geek Squad. Basically, your lense just has to adjust to the moisture and heat in the air. If you let it sit for a few minutes, it will clear up!! Looks like you're having a BLAST!!! ENJOY!

Some people have already mentioned it, but I will again, because I feel like it works JUST. THAT. WELL.

VALTREX! VALTREX! VALTREX!

I also get cold/fever sores, but once I got one SO bad (after a sunburn) that my bottom lip welled with infection to ungodly proportions. People don't generally belive the extent of it so I have saved pictures to document the pain! My doctor perscribed Valtrex and it has been the only thing that I feel works the best. I now keep a perscription so that whenever I begin to feel the 'tingle' I pop one, and it never becomes a full fledged sore. IT IS THE BEST!

Some people have mentioned it but I felt it was worth mentioning again because it works JUST. THAT. WELL.

I had an EXPLOSION on my bottom lip two years ago that I shutter even thinking about. Valtrex cleared it up, and ever since then my doctor has had me keep a perscription so that whenever I feel the 'tingle' I pop one and it NEVER DEVELOPES. It is great, and works much better than any of the over-the-counter stuff I have tried.

Keep the updates coming! I love visting you guys every day!
