Look who is standing up!

Pee pie.  Peep pye?  Peep eye?   Never thought of it, but don't know how to spell it!  Thanks to all of you who responded with party ideas.  I now have to figure out how to use the random thingamajig and we will have our weiners!  Should be able to let you know tomorrow.  I am starting to formulate a plan... to be revealed... in July and August, of course!

Just a quickie little post tonight to show you who is standing up now!
Can you tell she thinks she is pretty big shot?!
And can you tell that her big sister is pretty fired up to have someone standing who can play with her?  I swear, Ellie suddenly falls in LOOOoove with toys she has completely forgotten as soon as she sees Gabbi playing with them. For instance, she is all of the sudden a big fan of rattles ( and teething rings)!  Riiiiiiight!
So, YAY for Gabbi!  Go Gaggi Gull!
I have my little miss lady doing therapy now at least three days a week.  My therapists know that if there is a break in the schedule, guess who gets worked in!  She is not really moving that much.  She can roll over, but rarely does.  She very rarely plays with both hands.  She doesn't clap or transfer toys from hand to hand.  She doesn't sit herself up and can't figure out how to get down from sitting back onto her belly.  She does NOT like being placed in a hands and knees position.  But, she is very happy and social and sweet.  Maybe a little too passive!   SOooooo, my precious little angel, you get PT/OT regularly!  You can see why, then, that I am pretty proud of her standing and holding on with both hands!  And you will thank me when you are older.  (OMG... I sound like my mom!)

Thank you for the kind comment on my blog and glad you liked the ice cream social idea!!
Unfortunately, I'm not close (Nashville) but I actually did grow up right outside of Memphis and did fundraisers for St. Jude every year : )
I LOVE photography, but just got my camera for Christmas and still have a ton to learn but feel free to ask me any photography questions you have and I'll answer them if I can. You always get cute shots of your girls though!!

Yeah for Gabbi! I bet Ellie is just PUMPED to have someone else her own height to play with too! I wouldn't worry too much about Gabbi's "inactivity" I am sure she is right on track, especially since she is standing already. By the time my 2nd one was standing I was wishing she would sit down and stay still again!! Ha! What fun ages. Thanks for sharing your life and the pictures of your adorable kiddos!

A quick story. I called my Mother, so very worried, when our elder son was almost three. I could not, COULD NOT, get this boy to potty train. Mother said, "Kathryn Susan, the child is currently reading and comprehending at a mid-third grade level. He doesn't have time to go sit on a potty chair. He is too eager to learn!"

Quite honestly, that didn't help one danged bit. LOL!

He looks at the world in his own way, and it is hilarious to watch his daughters, our Grandgirlies, through his eyes. I am guessing that sweet Loveypuss will grow whilst very importantly doing her own thing as well. Thank you for bringing back a wonderful memory!

Oh, and when I bribed him with a trip to the bookstore if he would go potty for a whole week, we were there in less than a month.

Okay, I know I'm a day late, but I just had this idea on my walk this morning. What is cuter than a little girl's shoes? Not much. AND since you are celebrating birthdays number 1 and 2-----How about.....
"One, Two, buckle my shoe!"
The invitations could be shaped like shoes. The games could involved dressing up in high heels...I know you can run with this idea farther than I can. I just thought it was a cute theme.
(I didn't read the other ideas so I hope this is not a repeat.)

I just wanted to chime in on the birthdays. I hope you might consider having a party but actually donating the gifts to foster children or other kids whose parents may not be able to provide any birthday gift at all this year.
Have the party but ask people to bring gifts for all ages
(including teens) and donate them to your local foster child association or some other worthy group.

Let me know what you think!
