Girls gone wild! (P.S. I'm ALIVE!!)

Where have I been hiding out, you ask!!  Welllll, my life has been just shy of insane!  I have so many avenues I am exploring and trying to excel in that I had to just take an area which was giving me the least "back" and set it aside for a brief period.  Not that I don't love all my blog readers, but as the Law of Priorities says, "Don't sacrifice what is good for what is best".  And what has been best for some time now is preparing my company for the future, working on my vision, loving on my kids, and doing my best to preserve some normalcy in my household. (Normalcy being making a blanket fort on the back porch after wearing bikinis in the sprinkler and jumping on the trampoline, fyi!)
So this is what's been up.  I have been pouring myself into the leadership training I am providing to my clinic. The clinic has grown in leaps and bounds, and I was recently named North Louisiana's Health Care Hero for 2013.  Quite a surprise and a major honor!  I feel that it may be in part to the attention I have taken away from extraneous areas and focused on MMPT.  I have been in the clinic daily until about 6:30-7:00 for the past eight weeks.  I am working very hard to secure my leadership team to the place that they feel secure working without me.  This, in turn, will allow me to be with my girls a little more this summer and take a vacation without worry.  My pelvic floor program has really taken off, so I stay busy with new patients.
I am teaching my marketing girl how I would like the marketing to look like at MMPT.  I have been working with every leader on how I want the annual evaluations to look like, and what I intend the employees to receive regarding feedback so that they grow, but don't have their bubbles burst.  And certainly, I want them to receive accolades where growth has occurred.
I have a dream of moving more into my John Maxwell Leadership/ speaker/ training area, so I have been listening to podcasts, reading books, taking notes, and have even hired someone to start taking all my paraphrased/ underlined books, and compile the information I find most pertinent into one place so I can begin assimilating information into some semblance of a speech or even into areas which are important to me.
WHEW.  You tired yet?!
I have also been working a wee bit on getting MoJoy rocking and rolling, with many new earrings, jewelry stands, and even selling some to a local business.  Probably NOT what is best, but what helps me stay sane. Yes... I am one of those rare breeds who sometimes calls work "play".  The entrepeneurial side of me tends to make everything turn into "work" of sorts.  But that in itself is fun for me.

I have been working quite a bit on my spiritual side as well.  I have created several affirmations which I am using to remind myself of who I am and who I want to rise up inside me and come forth... here's a sampling:
1.  I am a super FUN mom.
2.  My body craves water.
3.  I am a highly attentive wife and adore my husband.
4. MMPT is getting bigger and better.
5.  My words lift up and inspire others.
6.  My health is a priority, and I take care of my body.
7.  and last but not least... in fact, it's the one I've been claiming for years...
I live in the high favor of the LORD!
So, by now, maybe you can tell I've been on a bit of a mission/ journey/ growth... whatever... and I have just had my mind a million places.  There have been times I think I am going crazy.  Anybody out there ever been there?  You are in a place where there is so much happening in your life that your mind just cannot sit and be.  Although, I am about to start working on that too!  Just BEing.
And for the record, I have uploaded pics to my blog and had them saved, only to go home (at 7:00ish!) to recall that for whatever reason, we no longer have internet in the back of the house.  And the back of the house (my BED!) is where I always blog.  ANd soooooo... I think, I'll just blog tomorrow at work.  And the next day, the reality of work sets in!  And it's been a vicious cycle!
But finally... it has occurred!  I have been resurrected to MOJOY blogdom.. in all my craziness.
And might I say, it feels good to be back!

WAA HOO! It is good to have you back. In truth I was starting to get the littlest bit concerned, but very happy to hear that your hiatus was to ensure you are enriching and celebrating in all things that make you happy and who you are. I may not comment much, but I do check in every day and feel enriched by your presence in my life. Thank you Mo.

My life this last week has been a blur of chaos coupled with painful stillness as the nation turned their eyes to my small town of Watertown, Ma to watch the most amazing and dedicated group of first-responders on a "man hunt" (which by all respects should be called a "boy hunt" - he's only 19, another fact I can't seem to wrap my head around) which rocked my town, my city of Boston, and my country. And through it, the bombings, the reports of injured friends, the endless media cycles, all culminating with the lockdown, I thought of you, Mo, and I worked very hard to exercise gratitude, positivity, and kindness. You have said many times how you feel the best of yourself comes out when you do, and it really worked for me too. I often try to do this, but it is really what got me through Friday to not be swallowed up by fear. You're a teacher, a leader, and a motivator on here as well.

Glad you're back!

Very glad you're back, but truly understand where your priorities lie. Seeing the daily pictures of your girls on Facebook always bring a smile to my face. Seeing nice, sunny, warm weather through your lens doesn't hurt either.
And yes, I've been there too, where my brain just will not shut down because of all the things going on in my life.
Congrats on all your continued success!

Maggie, I seriously have been thinking of you this week. I apologize, but couldn't think of your name to call you out specifically, so I refrained... But... I wanted to say, "Hey. How's my therapist friend from Boston?". You were most definitely on my mind this week. Glad to hear you are well! And glad to hear you remained positive in the midst of the storm.

If there is one thing I believe about you, it would be that you are a woman who knows what she needs in life and will go to any means to see that she attains it. Your family also knows the sacrifices you make for them and your 'MoJoy' family knows that as well. Thank you for sharing your goals with us and most importantly, for loving the Lord first and foremost. Everything else will fall into place when you put Him first. You are loved Mo..(but so nice to wake up to MoJoy)

Congratulations on your award! Go MMPT!! I was only slightly worried about where you might be. Mainly because you were still posting on facebook. We (I speak for everyone who reads here, lol) understand the craziness that is your life and although we would naturally miss your writing, we totally get that you need to take a step back sometimes! You are doing great things. Things that make a difference in the lives of others! If we get a chance to hear about all of it, WONDERFUL! We sure appreciate your sharing. You are setting a great example and the bar is high! Thanks MO!

Hugs from Missouri,
Shari

I don't know how you find the time to sleep... maybe you are one of those Twilight vampires who really don't need rest! LOL!

Glad to have you back blogging... but feel like I get to keep up with you through IG and FB... so, at least we get our daily dose of girly cuteness there!!

I soooooo wish we lived closer. Not only could you help my little bug with some therapies but this pelvic floor exercises are very intriguing... 2 pregnancies and an over 40 body has me feeling very frustrated with some, ahem, issues.

If you do end up having a mother/daughter retreat... Sophie and I would love to try and come if it lines up with my crazy schedule of two kids in college, a full time job, the single parent dating dilemma, etc. After all these years, it is on my bucket list to connect with some special people that have influenced me... you are among the top contenders! I know I would not be able to keep up!

Love your affirmations! I am going to create a list like that for my bathroom mirror too. I think we all need to focus on what we are doing well and quit getting bogged down by the guilt associated with the perfect Pinterest world!

Love ya!

Sarah

CONGRATS ON YOUR AWARD!!!!! And, as a student of Stephen Covery in college with my BSEd degree, he always said, "First things first." and your affirmations have done just that. Been in outer space for the last 2 months with the sudden death of my best friend of 41 years. I came to reckon with it this past weekend and chose living 24/7 like Jake did. Which means that the next crafting/religious weekend you have at your house, I would like to come. I need some Mo'Joy and your beautiful friends that I have only read about. And awesome hugs from Ellie and Gabbi as I have lost my BFF's little boys with her death...the family has moved on. Keep on keepin' on and don't stop believing. Love you.
