Which month?!!?

Doing great.  Only a couple more.  You still feel like playing?  I feel like I "know" so many of you now.  ha.

Alrighty, here goes...

What month of the year does your nose anticipate the most?!

I'll give you a few of the choices I've been told upon discussion... DeeDee says she like April the most.  The freshness, the flowers, the crispness and newness in the air.

Todd says October.  He always says October to everything!! It's his birthday month, and he thinks it's the greatest month ever anyway.  But, he says it's because the leaves are burning, the grills are fired up for football season, there's a crispness in the air.

I am going to say I'm with Dee Dee with the spring thing.  I LOVE the idea of taking the top off the jeep and riding with the perfect temp in the air, just cool enough to feel a nip and getting warmer as we head into the summer.  So, for now, I am going with April too.  (I don't like these games, because I am a girl who likes options!!  I am now smelling all that goes with November and certainly December... also thinking about chlorine and suntan lotion taking me back to my babies and falling asleep in my lap by the pool... ok.  I'm done.) Sticking with April.... I can put my hands back in the dirt to plant flowers which is one of my all time favorite things!

Next:

What month of the year best describes your personality?!

Todd says October. SEE?!  He says football, grilling, football, outdoor entertaining, football....

I think mine might be December.  It's the season of giving.   I love to give.  I love the surprises on people's faces.  I love buying gifts.  I love the excitement of my babies with the "electricity" in the air, even in the stores.  I like hustle and bustle and I love excess... sorry, it's true.  MORE decorations.  MORE color.  MORE tinsel and glitter and adornment.  It makes my eyes happy.  I like it when you look around and realize there are things that haven't even been seen yet.  With that said, I am also glad that January follows December!  Things calm down.  It's stark.  It is time to put away the old.... to plan... to set goals.  It is a regrouping of sorts.

So... what's yours?

Month your nose likes the best?
Month that best describes your personality?

April/May :) the weather is beautiful, things are blooming, it's not so hot that you can actually enjoy being outside.
And my personality would be November/December, family, being thankful and definitely giving and making others happy.

April would be my nose month. I love the smell of fresh cut grass.

April would also be my personality month. More people are out and about with windows down in vehicles smiling and enjoying the spring. I am a social butterfly and that's also the month you tend to see more butterflies. I love to wear my flip flops and paint my toenails.

Well I can't pick a month my nose picks because I have no sense of smell (was born that way) So while I've heard that months have different smells I have NO concept of them.
As for month that describes my personality I think there are two. February is certainly at the top of the list. It's my birthday month!! But furthermore it's because it's a month I tie with love (and being a 'lover of all' makes me treasure this month. Of course Valentine's Day reminds everyone of love. It means so much more to me. February is the month I found out that I was pregnant with my first son (after three miscarriages) in 2007. Then in 2010 it was February again when I found out I was pregnant again with our second son. My grandparents celebrate their wedding anniversary in February (It will be 67 years)and they are great role models of the love I want to share with my husband in our marriage. February 15 was my uncle (who passed in 2006)birthday. I love him and the inspiration he was to me before passing. February is also the birthday month of two of the greatest presidents our country had. They were ground-breakers in all they did in office and shaped our country for the better. (I hope to be able to make a positive impact that all I do too)
As much as February matches my personality I feel that December does to; for many of the same reasons that you listed for your reasons.

I think I am a June. The lazy days of Summer. I love both April and October. The beginning of warm and cool weather and all it brings is refreshing.

as a severe allergy sufferer - they all give me fits lol living here in wv - i love the change of seasons. winter into spring and everything greening up and being pretty and new again. spring into summer and warm days and all the fun that summer brings. then summer into fall - the cool nights, crisp air. and fall into winter - frost and snow and all the good things!!

if i have to pick just one month for my nose - i will pick september. i love the leaves changing and the cooler air and hunting season gearing up. september just kinda feels like a transition to the new, school and holidays coming up.

personality month is harder - i am an august birthday, a full blown leo. creative and strong willed and busy. i don't think the month of august really ties in with my personality. maybe december - lots of creativity and color and excitement.

these were tough!!

Guess I have to go along with Todd - October. Love all the fall scents. Not my bd month but my daughter and first grandchild. And, I know that in addition to the bd celebrations, I feel like it is the beginning of the holiday season. Let's move from birthdays to Halloween, on the thanksgiving, then Christmas. Everything stays fragrant for a long strecth and one just melds into the next.

December is my nose month w/ all the holiday scents/foods/etc.

June is definitely my attitude month - hectic schedule of kids school/activities done or winding down at least, anticipation of summer - both vacation and just free time, beautiful and sunny weather ... just generally less stressful and less scheduled!

Well, this is tough. March is when we get the first hint of spring in the air and since I really dislike cold weather, that nip in the air really makes my skirt fly up. But on the other hand, July is when we go to the Oregon Coast and I get to smell OCEAN! LOVES me some ocean!

I feel like a mix of both you and Todd. I love the first smells of fall, when you can smell the cold in the air before it actually comes. But even further into fall, the smells of November are what I really love. The leaves are dry and cracked, and cooking returns to heart warming savory flavors... pumpkin and squash, sage and brown butter, apple and cinnamon, roasted meats with onions and potatoes. I love everything about fall.
That being said, when I get a good sea breeze in the spring, and know that beach/sunscreen/sand/lobster season will be here soon, my heart grows just as excited. I love the feeling of the salt water in my hair, and letting the sand build up on my car's floor mats. I love collecting gossip magazines that will become tattered from sitting in the sand next to my chair, and packing a cooler.
Its wonderful that such different seasons give me so much pleasure.

Nose month - July. There are flowers, harvesting season, grilling, fireworks, bonfire parties, swimming.
Personality - April. The season of rebirth; everything is greening up here, flowers sprouting, farm animals being born, our anniversary; however, fall football season is right there at the top for me also!

Nose month...would be the fall..Septemberish...love the crisp breezes..you can take a deep breath without aspirating. LOL My personality month would be November. I love Thanksgiving..the warm fuzzy feeling of love, family and friends.

My month will be July. We're in NY and we have a house in Rhode Island. So July to me means, the end of school (we get out late June!), our "summer friends" begin to arrive at the beach, life is carefree, no schedules, no sports, no pressure. 4th of July can be a long weekend and family and friends will come up for a long weekend bbque. (you have lots of friends when you have a beach house!). July the smells of ocean, salt, suntan lotion and lots of limes for those drinks!

Nose month would be October. Mainly because it is after the first freeze and my poor nose is finally unstopped from summer allergies. I have always loved the fall.

Personality month would be November. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Family and friends are always first around here, and Thanksgiving is all about that!

I'm a summer girl...give me sunshine, blooming flowers, birds singing and I'm happy! If I had to pin point a certain month I would say July/August!

June! Sunshine, hot, suntan lotion, beach, suntans, flipflops, shorts, tshirts, baseball!
I'm convinced heaven will smell like suntan lotion!!

Month your nose likes the best? The fall months when the trees (magnolia, pine, cyprus) give off their scent the most.
Month that best describes your personality? All year round.

I can't pick just one! I love April's new smells and scents, the smell of rain showers in July, October's rich wood burning smells and December's pine fragrance. Maybe that means I have multiple personalities or maybe I'm just well rounded and love it all!

May! In MN one waits for summer for a long time! :) In May, you know you have the whole summer laid out ahead of you! Did I imagine it or did you have a post about kids' activities and the challenges of trying to work along with all that goes along with having kiddos? It feels like we all share many of teh same challenges-which activities? how many? How to balance it all with work? Somedays it feels doable-other days, exhausting!

April--love to have the windows open and smell the fresh mowed grass and getting my hands dirty getting the flower pots ready.........

December--I LOVE the holidays-love the decorations and love to pick out just the perfect gift for everyone.

I love having different seasons so I look forward to the sweet smell of grass in the spring as much as the crispness that fall air brings. My favorite months are June and December as both mean more time will be spent with family and friends.

Gotta agree with Todd. October - love the smell, leaves, chilly air, football. Right around the corner is Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. What fun!

Tough choices here....I would have to say I love May. School is out, summer is in the air. Fresh cut grass, baseball, Mother's day and my birthday! Even through the allergies, my nose loves summer!

My personality loves Nov/Dec because I love family time during the holiday's. This past season was tough on our family with the loss of my mama but I know the memories will still make the holidays a special time in my heart. (although I wish it wasn't cold!)

Hugs from Missouri,
Shari

This one is hard. I also love the crispness of fall and the flowers and trees and cut grass of spring. I'm going to go with Todd and his October. The one thing I do not like about April is that the hot humid summer is on it's tail. I do not like summer. FALL IT IS!

March is my nose month - spring is in the aie

Personality month is May - anxious about school getting out and the summer. I'm always anxious. Baseball season and the beginning of a fun summer. My friends always tell me I'm the fun one in da crew.
