A year ago today.

Looking back a year ago... my how time is flying!  Gabbi is a really big Tinkerbell fan, so her costume was a no-brainer!  But Ellie... I don't know if she has ever even re-watched Toy Story, so her choice of being Jessie was a shocker to me.  But, I was glad, nonetheless.  She had all her "parts" covered, so I was in favor!
We made a very homemade headband with all the flower clips we could find.  And I also recall Gabbi not being in a very good mood as we headed out that night.
She perked up when the mention of candy was made!   This girl LIKES her some candy!!
I also recall walking with the girls up every driveway, while my buddies just hung out in the back of the trailer, laughing and carrying on, as their older children were all self sufficient by now.  Mama Mel was knocking on those doors!
Oh, and Mama Mel was also decked out in costume, being an 80's girl!
and as we always do, we loaded down the trailer and hit the neighborhood!  Ellie coughing all the way.  I suppose we'll see tomorrow night whether or not it's the hay she is allergic to!  I'll have the puffer ready just in case!
This year, I have a gypsy and a butterfly!  And I'll be Batgirl!  Once again, Todd refuses to let me help him get a costume together.  As long as he gets our hayride together and helps with our annual hotdog boil, I suppose we'll be ok.  Pictures to follow!!  (Tell me about your costumes, or the funniest ones you've seen this year!)

Happy Halloween!! Mine is almost 10 so I told him it's time to be something homeade. He chose a baseball player. So he is going as Royals player Billy Butler (we live near Kansas City) Growing up we always had chicken pot pies and mashed taters on Halloween night. Now, I just try to keep it simple. Hope your cuties have fun tonight!

Hugs from Missouri,
Shari

When my son was 2, I dressed him up as the scarecrow from "The Wizard of Oz." That child had worn out a VHS tape of that movie. He was the cutest thing. He is 22 now. A picture of him is my facebook profile picture. He was such a cutie!

Hope the girls get lots of treats!

We always did homemade costumes with our kiddos. They have been purple grapes, green grapes, an ear of corn, a cupcake, a person in a bubble bath, Peter Pan, a magician, a gum ball machine, and many more! I miss having littles. My seventeen year old "baby" still loves to dress up.:). We will soon have our 1st grandchild. I am already looking forward to creating a costume for him next year.

Very excited that despite not getting a chance to work on costumes until yesterday both boys came out so cute. Johnathan is Linus & Charles is Charlie Brown. Nothing cuter than having two little ones who are the light of my life smiling at me in their costumes I made.

It was funny because last night we went to ChicFil-A extreme family night and ALL the kids were suppose to wear their costumes and when we walked in ALL the PARENTS was like "Ohhhhh I DREAM OF JEANNIE" and the kids were like "MOM!! LOOK it's ALADDIN as GIRL!! LOL!!!! Whoever saw Aladdin with a LONG PONYTAIL??!!!!!

PS SamC commentor: My girl is another Wizard of Oz fanatic! She has gone through 3cds!! She has several Wizard of Oz outfits as well. She was DOROTHY a few years back!!
