Playtime with Dee Dee and Grand Dad

It wasn't for very long, but we for sure tried to make the most of the little time we had to spend with Granddad! He'd been hospitalized since the Wednesday prior to our leaving to head to Florida. He was diagnosed with viral pneumonia. And he is now telling us he has a new respect for the disease!! It was some BAD stuff!! He was in the hospital for 9 days!!
And even though I know he was weak, and still had pain with any deep breaths or any exertion, he STILL wanted to spend all the time he could with his grand girlies!

And scroll back up to that first picture. As I mentioned, I always take plenty of "activities" when we travel, both for me and for the girls. We were there for a week, but man did time fly when we realized it was already time to go home.
So, we all met out in the driveway for a photo shoot. You KNOW I am not gonna let this opportunity pass.
I had Todd take a pic with his parents all alone, since this is really a rare photo. Good looking crew, huh?! Who'd have known Larry had just gotten home from the hospital the night before?! and I am going to seriously miss DeeDee's taking my girls to walk the cats in a cat stroller and go feed the ducks! They liked that more than Disney. In fact, Ellie would ask every day to go home to leave the parks to go home and walk the cats!
And then, of course, the girls got in on that family photo action.
Well, sadly, it was time to say goodbye!
Until next time, thanks for a great vacation and lots and lots of good memories.

Hi Mo ~ What great pictures! Those two dolls of yours are the best medicine Todd's Dad can get and it shows. The girls are so lucky to have such loving Grandparents - it is wonderful. I LOVE the idea of taking the kittens on a walk in a stroller - too funny.
On one of our first trips to Colorado, we were in the airport getting ready to leave & my youngest who was 3 at the time asks me if we are already in Colorado (I look at my hubby & ask him why we were spending all the money to go to Colorado when we could have just hung out at the airport.........kids are too funny. You spent all the money getting in Disney & you could have just taken the cats for a walk....
Have a wonderful weekend,
Diana from Colorado
