View from the front seat

It's a daily ritual! We just MUST go get an Icee everyday after daycare. (Hey, H0lly, does this headband look just like JakeDog's or what?!)
And would you just look at the forearm accessories!?
Ellie's been trending toward a slushee type drink lately. But Gabbi Girl... she is a traditionalist!

And Ellie tends to pick the color drink that would cause the single most destruction on the carpet of the vehicle, the new floors at the house, or new fall clothes that have only been worn once. It is just her way!
As for me.... I am going to stick to my Frappucinos! I mean, they are like Zantac to a lapbander! Seriously. When I can't get something to go down. Drink a Frap. When I feel like my esophogus is on fire.... Drink a Frap! When I first get up in the morning.... Drink a Frap. And when I drink one at night, like I did tonight... EXPECT to be up all night! Yuck!
Oh, and by the way. I like Vanilla. Not Mocha. Not sure why I had the Mocha on this particular day!

Happy Birthday to DeeDee. She and Granddad will be coming in town for a visit in about a month, so I will post some belated photos that are fresh!

Also, we have Gabbi Girl's official adoption...as in sign the papers at the Courthouse official! Remember Ellie's day? I have been telling Ellie, "Gabbi will become a part of our family tomorrow." I drop little hints to her sometimes now about adoption. I know the day will come, sooner rather than later, that I have to answer her questions, and I want to be as up front as I possibly can with her. I even told her, "You became part of our family in this special way when you were little too." Obviously, it is all over her head right now, but I sing a special song to each of them referring to their being loved by two families, and also talk to them all the time about Jesus's Book of Families. I love that Ellie refers to our family as "our special family" very regularly. She 's right! Tomorrow, our family officially grows by another little girl. And her name will officially become Gabbi Louanne Groves, instead of Baby Girl _____. Bless her sweet little heart. God is good!!

We'll be praying a hearty dose of thanksgiving tomorrow. Join us, won't you?!

Mo

That does look like JakeDog's headband! I went into Claire's and once again questioned why I have no little girls in my life! No daughters, and no granddaughters either! I think that would be one of our favorite stores!

Singing praises and thanksgiving tomorrow in honor of precious GabbiGirl and your special family! I still remember that incredible monagramed dress Ellie wore on her official day!

Love Holly & JakeDog!

Congratulations on the adoption of Gabbi. I'll never forget the days that we adopted our two kids. Now every year on the anniversary of Raylee's adoption, I have roses, balloons, and a card delivered to her at school! Joah gets a new toy or something because boys aren't too be into getting roses! haha
