About the same size!

I am not exactly sure what made me think this was blog worthy.... but these are my thoughts and this is my house and so, it made it onto my camera!
I am not crazy! I KNOW that when Daddy has the girls on Mondays and I have to go to work early, the outfits for the day had better be planned and awaiting them on the bathroom counter!

This includes a packed diaper bag, matching hairbows (and rubber bands which lets him know how "they'd" like their hair done, and monogrammed panties, if in a dress.

On this particular day a few weeks ago (we have since put our boots away and whipped out the sandals... "Mom, is is summertime yet?" "Yes, Ellie. Now you can wear your glittery flip flops!" ), I laid out the girls' clothes on the bathroom counter as usual. But what struck me this time was how close in size they were. I know Gabbi is catching her, because she is actually wearing some of Ellie's fall/ winter shoes. Gabbi is in a size 5 shoe, but 6's are ok too. Ellie is in a 7, but 6's are ok too. Hmmm.... As for clothes, Staci and I have noticed how quickly Gabbi Girl is moving right into those hand me downs. Not like a year behind the girls, but more like a season or so.

Anyway, this was my morning epiphany! I just can't believe how blessed I am to have two little girls who I get to dress every day and who are growing up right here in my sweet little NEST!

I want to thank you for doing this blog and sharing your lives with so many. I know that it takes lots of time and energy. I was introduced to your family through Jake's Caringbridge page. I fell in love with Jake and the entire family. When he passed I was crushed, and I can't imagine the pain that you all go through daily. Knowing that you trusted in our Lord to get you through really help me with my faith. Mo Joy brings so my joy to my life too!! Thank you so much Mo!!

your life is so blessed. I know you get that but sometimes it takes little reminders to make us stop and think of it

Hello control freak! J/k! If I want Audrey to look acceptable, I have to do the same thing for my hubby but he would never do her hair.
By the was Gabbi is growing, pretty soon, people are going to be asking if they are fraternal twins!!!

Mo, I noticed you in the mirror taking the picture. You look GREAT!! How much weight have you lost total? We need an update on that. I am proud of you!! I was just diagnosed with "pre" diabetes, so I am starting a better eating plan myself.

Mo, what makes me sad is to see the clothes Bree has outgrown! It seems I just bought them! Hope your Saturday afternoon is filled w/lots of nesting!

Love this post, but enjoy dressing them while you can! My daughter had a mind of her own pretty early on (lie Ellie) and the dressing battles began (summer skirts in 17 degree weather etc.) I had to choose 3 "sets" and let her choose among them if I did not want her to risk frost bite! Then, I had to "race" her to see who could get dressed faster - just to get to school on time. Now at 15, I am grateful if she gets out of bed without a battle! Enjoy every minute!
