Christmas was delivered this weekend!

We surely do love our neighbor, Sarah!
What are we going to do when we move away? Would you believe we are planning for lots of visits!? We are building an extra little bunk in Ellie/ Gabbi's bedroom so they can all be together!

I surely do love the opportunity to wear lots and lots of little Christmas outfits!
And dude. Talk about some red/ green/ white bows. I mean DAILY! And if we lose another bow, I am going to SCREAM! Those suckers are expensive!
DeeDee and Granddad brought this little rocking horse to the beach at Thanksgiving. The girls love it. And can you see, Granddad, that the wicker wrap lasted all of one day at our house before Destruction Daisy tore it up!? And I don't mean this sweet angel!
Yes. THIS is Destruction Daisy!
Ok, for the point of this post! The day after we got home from Memphis marathon, this came in the door.
Did I tell you about the fundraiser for Miss Linda's Twin City Ballet Company, where area businesses/ supporters, offered to decorate a tree to be auctioned off at a shindig. Well, we have boxes alllll over our house right now, along with toys and toy boxes, and Christmas presents, and hand me downs, and .... well, you don't want to know more. It is an ugly sight. Believe me! I am not much of a housekeeper, and even I am disgusted right now! But, I am trying to just hang on, because I know a move is eminent and we will have lots more room soon.
Back to my point. I asked Todd how much money did he think it'd be worth to just BUY one of those pre-decorated tree to avoid getting into our attic and having MORE boxes all over our house until we got all of our Christmas unpacked and put up!? We decided it'd be worth a lot!
Even better, the tree we bid on had glass blown Santas all over it. Would you believe that that is exactly what I have been collecting for Ellie since she was born?! Mom, Rita, and I have been adding to Ellie and Gabbi's little collection since she was born. We are SUCKERS for ornaments!
There were ALLLLL kinds of themed trees! Did I mention that MMPT did an LSU themed tree?! Anyhooo... it was pretty lucky that one of my favorite trees anyway had all these glass blown Santas. I guess that will be a good story for Ellie someday on how we came about getting her tree fully decorated.

Can you see this tag? It says to Todd and Melanie Groves.
You can only imagine that these two were all starry eyed, when an ENTIRE tree was unwrapped in our den. There was no "building" of excitement because it all came at once!!
Gabbi Girl seemed to approve!
Todd is reading a letter that came with it. We also purchased, with this tree, a visit from Santa with his reading Twas the Night.... and a big package of Christmasy cookies from a local cookie shop called Tummy Yummy!
Aha. ALREADY an ornament down!
Annnnndd... another one?!
And within minutes we were ready to rock on presents too!
I bought wrapping paper when we were at the beach and wrapped as I brought things back from the outlet mall. So, I am AHEAD of the game on wrapping. I KNEW that I had better steal away every available second to wrap to avoid a couple of little "Helpers"!!
Oh SO TEMPTING!
and this is what we thought about a fully decorated, tissue wrapped, plastic wrapped tree coming straight to our house...
Mary Allison and E thought so too!
Merrrrrrrrry Christmas!

Love the tree...and look at all of those presents! Girl, you have been doing some serious shopping! :) However, I think my favorite thing that I have seen lately in your pics is Ellie ALWAYS doing the model pose. She is too cute! Love it!

WOW! That is a beautiful tree!! Probably saved you 6 hours of work... that's how long it took me to decorate mine from the moment I bought it out at the tree farm right up until the angel was put on the top. You're not going to believe this but up here in Canada I have a LSU tree!!! That's right! I like to decorate according to the year's colour theme, and this year it was purple. Now, as a general rule, purple goes well with silver, but I didn't want to go with the flow so I did did purple with gold. And it looks AWESOME!
Have a wonderful, fabulous, loving, laughing Christmas season!
Much love and BELIEVING,
Denise xo

What a great tree! As I was reading the post and trying not to scroll down, I was thinking to myself, I hope she didn't buy the Duck Commander tree! I loved all of the trees, but couldn't believe the price I heard that one went for! Tummy Yummy has the prettiest cookies! Your girls are beautiful!

You just made me spew diet coke......at 12:30 am (mind you) ALL OVER the place! Hey, I thought this was a joke at first, but NOW I get it....oh, yes I do! And that, my friend, might just be what I do next year! :) What a great idea. I'm sure it costs my left and right arm, big toe and back side, but hey, it's worth it! SOOOOOO worth it! Love it and love those sweet girls!
