I'm so proud of you, too, Ellie!

Get ready. You are about to be on picture overload!!

I think I have mentioned that Baby Girl does not so much like to play with toys. She does NOT watch TV at all, and shows little interest in books/ puzzles, ,etc.

Howevvvver....
the kid is ENAMORED with jewelry! She likes to collect it. Wear it. MAKE it!
I have been amazed for a really long time with how well this little girl can mimic my handling of the tools of the trade!
Her fine motor skills are quite advanced. I'm just sayin'...
So while I was making some of the necklaces that went out last week, I handed her random beads to keep her preoccupied since she WAS NOT going to leave me alone at the table.
I even made sure there were some little bitty spacer beads that I figured would take her a long time to get on the wire, so that would "buy" me some working time!
Ummm.... no! That above is her saying, "Ok, mom, I did it." She made those two piles of beads into a "designed" pair of earrings in nothing flat!
So she handed them to me and I did the wire work to make them officially into a earring vs. a straight wire. Then, I handed them back to her.
I punch two tiny, tiny, TINY holes in my cards I use to send out my earrings with a paper piercer. I handed the card to Ellie and told her to put her earrings on it. Again, thinking this would preoccupy her for awhile. Welllll.....
it took a little problem solving, but...
in nothing flat, she had it!
And might I say, she was VERY proud of herself.
And might I say, I was just as proud of her too!!
I mean, that is hard! And this is her first pair of earrings to make EVER.
I do believe I will have to keep these and treasure them!
And then, I am not sure, but I think she was getting a little COCKY! Look at that foot up on the table.
I thought, "What the heck". If I am going to get these suckers out, maybe I should let her help me. Soooooo....
I started lining up the beads in the order in which I wanted them on the wire. I would say, "This one first. This one second. And this one third." Imagine my amazement, when she got it all right.

Oh, and these are her first earrings. Up close.
Seriously, I can't tell you how helpful it was to have Ellie helping me with this!

And believe me... SHE LOVED IT!
She was so intent on it! She was quiet and focused. Ahhhhhh. Bliss.
I mean, would you look at that concentration?!

I intend to give these to JinJin, as her grandbaby made them and, well, I find that quite phenomenal!
I am going to get her to make DeeDee and Nana a pair for Christmas too. So, know that Little Bellie made these for you!
and hung them on the little card too!

So go on and on and on about how awesome they are!

She certainly thinks so!
Ellie, I am so proud of you!

Wow, I am truly amazed. I think you may have a budding artist there. She takes after you, that's for sure!! How fun that the two of you can do that together. You should teach her to scrapbook next, she'll LOVE that too!

I can remember waaaaaay back when Ellie hadn't yet been born, and y'all kept saying that Jakipoo was certain to have a helping hand alongside God in choosing a baby for you and Todd. Remember?? Well, in my mind, Ellie is solid proof that Jake asked God to send you a baby girl who was as close to you as possible... smart, active, multi-talented, and great fun. :)
Always BELIEVING,
Denise
P.S. My daughter received the Christmas paintings... now I have to go visit her to pick them up! She says they're awesome, and that's quite a compliment because she has a master's in art and teaches at an academy. Just saying.... :)

When God was making her, molding her into the sweet little thing she is, I really think Jakester was right along side smiling, putting his touches right along with it all. This baby girl was made all for you and your family Mo. She is just truly an unbelievable girl. I must of looked the pic 3, 4 times in awe of her concentration, patience, NOT to mention the freaking motor skills. That girl is something else. WTG and put her on the payroll dahling...

I LOVE that Ellie is enjoying making jewelry. Look at what an influence you are on her! (Makes me think of the whole "nature vs nurture" thing.) I also love that she can do it with her shoes on the wrong feet. That just made it all the more adorable! You guys are going to have so much fun designing jewelry together in the years to come!

Wow...I'm so impressed! MY fine motor skills probably aren't as good as hers! lol

I agree with Bj...Ellie's Earrings has a nice ring to it! ;-)

P.S. Billy's girlfriend, Tabitha, LOVES the necklace and earrings! I took some pics, but I didn't get close enough to get a good shot of the jewelry. I'll get her to take some close up pics.

She is very talented, and I too am amazed at the fine motor skills! Isn't there a law about child labor??? Haha~I'm just joking, you can see how much she likes doing this! Enjoy this time, when she is 17 she probably will not want to be in the same room with you. Oh, my bad, that's my daughter~ lol!

Now that is pretty impressive! Isn't if funny how your children enjoy and mimick what you do!? So fun. Oh, and it is cracking me up that her slippers/shoes appear to be on the wrong feet. I love it!

I love that! What an amazing baby girl. You will have a mother and daughter jewelry business before you know it. Maybe Ellie could have her own line especially for kids! She would know what they like to wear. I'm just sayin'.......Ellie Bellie Jewels.

WOW! She's an amazing little lady! Definitely keep that first pair she made. She will love to see those one day.

Ellie reminds me so much of my five year old son, Tyler. He has been a crazy little man from the time he was born. He does some insane stuff and his energy never dies....but he is absolutely hilarious!
