Oh the lengths to which we will go...

My oh my.Talk about an outrage!  At last look 70.  SEVENTY.  70 comments !  Staci got her panties all in a wad because she said everyone is "mad" at her for saying that about my blog.  Wellllll, I say go over to her blog and give her some bloggy, comment love to ENCOURAGE her to get back on the blog wagon!  She took pics of our girls in LSU bathing suits today before I got down to the beach, so she needs to blog those suckers and get them out there.

Ok, so this post is about the significant difficulty we have trying to keep dinner pleasant for all involved!  I mean, us, AND our neighbors in the restaurant.  Ellie is going through the stage of not wanting to sit in her carseat, a highchair, a stroller.... nothing which restrains!  And, dude... it is mentally taxing!
Gabbi, on the other hand, is cool as long as food is being presented to her.  She is all about the FOOD right now.
Ok, so this brings us to the purpose of this blog post...
I do not travel without "projects".  We have books with flaps to lift, magnetic "change the faces" kits, stickers, and....
THESE....
Remember that I said that Ellie doesn't really do toys!  Nope.  She wants to play whatever mom is "playing"!  So, I bought her beads and pipecleaners to "string" onto as bracelets.
This is a little trick I picked up from my smart OT's.  They let kids iwht fine motor challenges string on pipe cleaners as the stiffness makes it easier than flimsy ol' string/twine, etc.
I'm just gonna go on and say... it worked like a CHARM!
I really wanted my girls to take a picture together before we went out for dinner, but no such luck.  I look forward to the day they smile and pose.  Oh, those LSU pics from earlier on the beach today..... supposedly, Maddi and Ellie were "posing" for them. So pester Staci to post them.  I want to see them too!
Guess where I got these dresses.  Remember Nguyen!  Hey stephleighjenkins.  Did I get all that right?  Aren't you the one who said you live near them.  Tell them about all this PR.  In fact, tell them to contact me.  They should absolutely advertise on here!  I can hook them up.  LOVE their stuff!
Oh, my..  What a precious little gift!
and here she is again..
and one more just for the elluvit.
Having a ball.  To the moms of my sitters.  LOVE THEM!  They are doing well and being good.  I think KK is getting a raise.  She made me a fruity drink!  OHHhhh YEAH!  We are getting the whole crew ready right now for ANOTHER night at the Hangout.  We are what you would call "regulars" by now!  My baby girls are squeaky clean, smelling of baby lotion (ummm) and sporting matching pink outfits.  Todd is in his new light green Columbia shirt, and I am wearing a melon color shirt.  He thinks we look like sherbert!  He ain't right.

and to Paula's mom.
She is NOT behaving herself!  She won't put sunscreen on Emma, and let John drink margaritas, and slept til noon while the kids frolicked in the big, dangerous waves.   I think Clayton got a real tattoo.  of a skull.

Jussssssst kidding! Psyche!  Just wanted to create a little drama.
Melanie, Paula's old best friend.

I just wanted to be the first to comment. The girls are adorable as usual. Your hair looked really pretty in the pic of you holding Ellie. I like the curly on ya.

Gabbi just makes me smile every time I see her. You could post pics of her on a billboard just to make people happy. Ellie is so cute with her determination to be the big girl. She will surely be a jewelry designer by the time she is 3!

Till Stacy to get off her toot and post those pics. What does she think she is, on vacation?

You are a good mom...such great ideas for keeping Ellie entertained! We used to take a bag full of stuff for our boys when they were little.

Nawwww....we're not mad at Staci! We could never be mad at her! I'll go over to her blog and straighten this out. :-)

I'm still dealing with jealousy over your extended vacay at the beach....just sayin'. ;-) LOL

Mo ... love those little cuties in their dresses. The look so cute. Thanks for the idea for dinner out with little ones. Took 4 year old grandson, Luke, to dinner tonight and he definitely needed a project besides reading a book and coloring....boring..I am going to try the beads and pipecleaners. Thanks again.

Gabbi makes me smile, how could you NOT smile when you look at her pictures...she looks like a PLEASURE!!! Ellie makes me laugh, she is one determined little lady...but that is not a bad thing when she is older (It's hard now my oldest was like that, she is 16 now and does very well in school and has lots of friends). I'd like to see those beach pics!! Tell Stacy to get posting..ha ha. Have a great day today!!

We are definitely not mad at Stacy. But do miss her blog and pics of sweet Madison.

That bright pink is definitely one of Gabbi's colors. Too cute.

We need links. First to the shoes you had (don't forget about us!!) and to the store where those dresses came from. TOO CUTE!! Secondly, I am considering a flip video thingie, but I have a few questions. Can you zoom? Do you find that you have problems keeping it stabilized so that the video doesn't make you drunk when you watch it??
THANKS!

I didn't get to comment about the length of your blogs before so I am going to comment on that one BEFORE I even READ the two I have missed since Saturday. Not short, no, nada, never - love the stories that go with the pictures - no, no, no, no, no - don't go short on us!

Thanks for the restaurant idea!! The last time my husband took Max (who would be Ellie if he were a girl, but already has the shoe fetish, too!) out to eat, he managed to topple over two drinks at someone else's table and then knock over a waitress, with a tray full of food! Oops! Now there's some good parenting!
