Thanks DeeDee and Granddad!

Hip Hip Hooray for DeeDee and Granddad! We came home Monday night and had a big ol' package on the porch!

Ellie is all about opening presents. She dove right in.
She even seemed to be genuinely interested in reading the card. Todd must've gotten that from his mom. He thinks cards are necessary on holidays. I take after my mom by thinking GIFTS are where it is at. I will get him the most "elaborate" basket full of goodies, and I guar-an-tee he will want to know where his card is! On the other hand, I will get a card with all sweet writing in it, and say, "sweet." BUT... where's my present?! Ok, back to the opening of the gifts...

Miss Gabbi Lou liked her little chick.
Todd sat her up on the princess couch (that is nasty and MUST be replaced this summer during birthdays!) and along came sissy pie. I love that it looks like Ellie is reading her card to her. But I think even more, I love that Gabbi is reaching out and touching Ellie, showing that they should be "playing" together soon. So only about four more days of Easter pics, and then we can all move on! (Maybe.) Melanie

By the way, does Todd check the price of the card?!? Troy rates his card based on how much I spent on it. He flips it over first thing to check! HA HA!!! Now it's a contest!

Wonderful photo's!
I am a lover of cards too!! Presents are fun too, but I just love cards!!
My grandma told me when her and my grandpa were young (they married at 18) they couldn't afford to buy each other a card, so they would go to the card store and just browse. They would find the perfect card for each other, share it when them and then put it back on the rack! I think about that every time I am looking for a card.
Take care and I am so glad you are back to blogging.
Ellie & Gabbi are getting so big and they are so beautiful!!
Happy Easter to you all!!

I have to admit, I'm a sucker for cards. When I buy them for other people, it takes a good while to select just the right card for each person! Usually, hubby Bill waits until the day of the holiday/birthday/event and runs to the nearest convenience store and grabs whatever they have. I've gotten cards before with words marked out - like "In Sympathy" and above it he's written, "Happy Birthday." It works for him! He's a true romantic! *Sigh* LOL

It's so neat to see Ellie and Gabbi growing up together. It will be fun seeing them play with each other! If they are anything like my boys were, Gabbi will follow Ellie around everywhere, trying her best to keep up! They are so sweet.

Looking forward to more Easter pics! :o)

These girls are just so precious! Ms Ellie is the cat's meow! Fo Sure! And Ms. Gabbi is just the sweetest little bundle of shuga! Enjoy these days, it won't be long before they're packing to go to college. My baby girl is moving to Ole Miss, this fall. She's already at Hinds CC. Gave mom & dad a year to "adjust" to her leaving!BooooHooo!!!!

I think Ellie looks like Todd with her head down reading her card.

I am glad to view your Easter joy. We have really outgrown it here with a 15 and 13 year old. The men folk even went to the mountains and left the women folk to tend to all the critters and chores.

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that someone in Mobile, Alabama reads your blog! I love it! I'm friends with little Abel Tyson and his family. (His Mommy and I were good friends in high school). I also followed Jake's story. I have a blog, too, but don't update it as often as you. It's www.thebetheafamily.blogspot.com if you want to check it out!
