No pic week!

Hmmm... interesting!  I think I have a solution for the no photo deal, but until I load Google Chrome on the ol' puter, I might take a week or so and enjoy the no pic blog!

Whatcha think about THAT?!  Let's do a question a night.  And I say, REALLY put on your thinking caps, and it'll be more fun for EVERYONE if EVERYONE joins in!  So, here we go...

If you could live in any state besides the one you live in, which one would it be and why?!

Ready.... GO!

MO
(I'll be adding my answer to the comments as they grow, so check back in to see what everyone has to say.  And if you read the blog, but don't have an account to comment.... TODAY is the day!  (Misty!)  It's simple.  Or so I'd guess.  Add that account and start playing along.  I am going to have a question every day this week.  Let's do this.

  1. Easy! Colorado! God's creation doesn't get any better...no bugs (or the really nasty ones) and no mosquitos. Best of all NO humidity!! All sorts of indoor and outdoor activities...LOVE LOVE LOVE Colorado!

  2. Well, I've never been but from what I hear, I'd like to live in California. The older I get, the less I can tolerate the cold. Would like 70-80 year round. :)

  3. Hi Mo,

I sure hope those girlies of your are on the mend.

I am a Washington girl through and through. I love rain, beautiful summers, light breezes, the mountains, especially Rainier, the Puget Sound, our beach house on the Puget Sound, our inventiveness, our music, our coffee, our "green" ways, our liberal leanings, our fresh seafood...I LOVE where I live. I really, truly would not want to love anywhere other than my home state for more than about a year.

That being said, I would live in Manhattan, NYC, NY...I LOVE this city and I have been at least 20 times and all over the world. But truly only for about a year. I think eventually the pace would get to me and I would long for my PNW space, clear water, clean air and my Beach House!

  6. No question! North Carolina. I love the area around Ashville, Boone, Charlotte...everywhere! I love the mountains and the coast!
REALLY thought we would move there when we retired, but the grandchildren moved to Texas so we did too!

  7. I live neat Ottawa, Canada, and would be happy to trade our -15F weather tonight for Southern Florida.

  8. We'd pick Tennessee for sure! (Hope y'all are feeling better)

  9. I'm guessing one of the Carolina's. I do like the mountains but I love me some beach!

  10. Wyoming or Colorado. Lots of open spaces and room to have tons of horses! Hope the girls are feeling better!

  11. I'm a CA girl, but Hawaii would be my choice!

  13. I live in central Texas and can't imagine moving...but we have a cottage in western Michigan and I love it there. I would have to live in the city, and near a grocery store, so I wouldn't have to drive in bad weather, but I think I could handle the cold. Otherwise, I'd probably move to Little Rock. It seems similar to Austin.

  14. One of the best places I ever visited as a child was Colorado Springs- love the outdoors!! And minus the heat, I could see myself living in Austin too.

  15. I would live in Alabama - Orange Beach to be exact. I can NOT deal with the cold here.

Hope the flu has packed its bags and is heading outta there.

  16. Lived in LA all of our life until 2002..transferred to AR...did not know what to expect..but LOVED it..4 beautiful seasons and God's artistry abounds there. Not so keen on taxes, etc..but it is certainly a beautiful place. If my kids and grandkids were there, we would most likely still be there.

  17. Wyoming, Open cool snowy days. lived there for two years and loved it. Only came back to Louisiama cause I missed my mom n dad. The air in wyoming is so much better. LOVED LOVED LOVED WYOMING!!!!

  18. Days like today, when the high temp is going to reach a whopping 2 degrees, anywhere warm is appealing. However, I must say I LOVE the change of seasons, so I would probably choose wintering in the south, and stay here the other 3 seasons.

  19. I would love to move to Maine but only in the summer. clean air and lots of beuty

  20. Oh man, I love Louisiana! Hmmm the only place I'd even consider moving to is Orlando.

  21. NY/NJ girl but would live in Arkansas! Friendly people. Beautiful wide open spaces. Nice small towns. Warmer temps (tho i know the summer is humid and hot, but sick of cold, snow, storms, power outages, etc).

  22. Orange Beach, Ala! Love the beach.

  23. I think I would choose Colorado or Montana. I'm a country girl and love all things outdoors. Of course, I would also want to be rich so that I could enjoy all of the fabulousness without having to work! Teehee....

    happy no picture week!

  24. I would choose upper Minnesota. LOVE the cold, snow and am no fan of hot! Spent summers there with my family and brings lots of wonderful memories. Bet no one picks cold, snowy MN. Its below zero there this morning. Think how many projects I could get done staying in from the cold!

  25. Oh man, there are so many factors, but I'm going to remove the factor of where my friend and family are to open up my option. I grew up in Ohio, and I think there will always be a mid-west girl type of mentality, but I was raised by New Englanders, and have been living in the Boston area for the last 13 years. I feel like New England is where I belong, but if I were going to make a big change, I think I'd love to live in the Pacific Northwest... Maybe Seattle, or Oregon coast?

  26. Maggie, the Oregon coast is unbelievable!! If you haven't been there, GO! It's one of my faves!

  28. Wisconsin-My husband's home state. We've got lots of great friends and it actually has 4 seasons. Go Packers! If that didn't work out, we would probably say North Carolina...just beautiful!

  29. Well, as long as we are dreaming, I would live in 2 states. Colorado and Alabama. Lived in CO for 3 years and absolutely loved the beauty there. But, I also love the beach and CO is too far away from that so would need my time at Gulf Shores. Currently? Missouri. Not likely every to move away from the grands so it really all is just dreaming. :)

  30. I would live in Colorado! I have always had a dream to live there. :)

  31. We are vacationing in Colorado this week. I think it is the only state outside of GA I would want to live. I would love to figure out a way to spend several months out here.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I live in North Carolina now. We really have the best of both worlds. The beach is about 3 hours away and the mountains are about 2 hours away. But I fell in love with Arizona! Sedona is where I could live! My MIL has a house there. I think you would really love it there. So many art places and such beautiful scenery!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I would live in Florida!! I would love to live by the beach!!!!! And not have to deal with the winter!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. It's cold in MN today so all I can think about is getting somewhere warm! I LOVE warm weather and anyplace that I can comfortably be outside year round. I also love mountains-so, maybe California. I've always loved Colorado though too..(although it's not as warm and no ocean..). I love any place that you can easily be active and outdoors and WARM.

  37. Well to transplant this TEXAN into another state would be like "filing down the horns of a LONGHORN", it was just plain HURT! However, I digress and I would say if "I had to choose", it would be no doubt COLORADO!! It is just gorgeous!!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Florida! Beach, Disney, Beach, warm weather. Lastly...the beach!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I would love to live in just about any southern state, I would also like to be near some big body of water. South Dakota is a little chilly, yesterday I got up to -9 !

  40. Well I live in Illinois because that is where almost ALL my family is. While there are many beautiful states I would love to vacation in for long periods of time There are very few I would consider living in. The first that came to mind is New York in the Rochester/Buffalo area. Two reasons : Most of my husband's family lives there and it's so hard being so far from them. Secondly the beauty of that area (Niagara Falls, the finger lakes, the Adirondack) I fall in love with every time I see it.

  41. I am not sure. I've lived in VA, NC, SC, CT, HI. Virginia is home but after reading all the comments, I like to give Colorado a try. It sounds like heaven except all my friends would be on the East Coast. I'd still give it a try.

  42. I'd either go back to Alabama where I was born and raised or possibly North Carolina. I love it up there!

  43. I have been seriously considering a move! I would love to move to central FL ~ it is WARM and close enough to beaches!! I would also like to move to TN ~ somewhere in the Nashville area, just love it there....no real reason, just nice people and feels so homey! I would also like to move to TX ~ again because it is WARM and I have friends there that I am much too far away from here in MI! Of course LA has to be on my list to ~ so I am closer to Mo and can make some art retreats finally!! (although if I did TX that is closer to LA than MI is!!) Just need to be somewhere warm....this girl just cannot take much more of this cold, Cold, COLD here in MI.

  44. Florida, St. Augustine to be exact, love the beach!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. My home is in the mountains of SW Virginia. The beach is my favorite place to visit, so I would probably live on the coast of NC or SC.

I have a friend who lives on the coast, and she wants to move to the mountains...maybe her family and mine just need to switch houses!

  46. South Carolina--Charleston area. Love it!!!

  47. Dude!! 48 comments! I'm never posting pictures again!

I'm on my iPad and cannot for the life of me figure out how to post a new blog. So, meet me here in the morning, when I can get to a computer, and I'll have my answer and tomorrow's question. Hint: be thinking about your favorite actresses!

  48. Well, being a MN girl and its VERY COLD right now... somewhere warm! Haven't been to many states, but Washington is beautiful! Love the mountains! Florida and Hawaii definately sound nice for the WARM weather. North Caroline- cuz its the heart of NASCAR and LA, of course, so I can be Mo's neighbor and attend all her fun parties!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I'd like to live in Atlanta, Georgia. I'm a huge Braves fan and would love to go to all the home games instead of just a couple each year or so. But no way would I ever become a Falcon fan. :)
