It's time to guess the number!

The time has come.  Tonight is the grand finale.  Until I take down Gabbi and Todd's trees.  (Jussst kidding!)
OR AM I?!
Awww man, I love this picture of my baby Ellie!
And these are some gems she made for me this year.
And one I made to remember what she was like at 5 years old.
It says, "Ellie loves her HOT pink high heel boots".
I bought this new cute red door ornament this year, and I found an ornament that Gabs wrote a "T" on.
If you ask her, she'll tell you "for Todd and Tarzan!".
These are a few Krinkles that I used to lovingly stick in each of their styrofoam boxes one at a time.  I stopped that last year.  And I feel liberated!!  Now, it's tissue paper and a box with all the others.
They are collectibles, and perhaps they'll be worth something someday.  But the day I have to rely on my ornaments to bail me out of a financial pinch is the day I start selling my body.  Jusssssst kidding!

OR AM I?!
Aha... there's a shell from Sanibel Island where mom and I took Staci for her college graduation.  And a Russian doll, and a piece of okra shaped into Santa Claus.  WHAT?  You don't have one of those?!
I love that by having written that simple little word on the back I know that this snowman came from the Olla ornament exchange in 2002.  Just wish I'd put who brought it to the party.
I'm living and learning.
This cute little bird is the one I got at Olla this year.
I had a steal pass in the Chinese Christmas, and I stole HIM!  I thought he was so cute.
Whoop.  Whooop.... guess where we're going soon.  Hint:
My good buddy, Lissy, made this one for me this year.  I think it might be Uncle Si.  I LOVE that she makes 100 each year and gives them to her friends.
She even signs them.  See I got number 61 of 100. It's a keeper!!  I think I am going to have to do that next year for my friends!
These little baby ornaments represent our Christmas ballet this year.  And there were 6 of them on my tree.  DOes that help your tally?!

Fillers.
Krinkle.
The boys and I at the skating rink when they were little bitty things.  LOVED them so much.
This that and the other.  Are you keeping count?
From Mattie for Christmas one year.  She came to my clinic for therapy.
And this says, "Bought for Lakehouse 2005".  Don't you EVEN think I don't think big!  Do I have a lakehouse?  NO.  Do I imagine that I will someday and buy ornaments  for my tree there?  YES!
Cute little John James who I saw for PT since he was about 1 year old gave me this one.
This brings back awesome memories of my surprise 40th birthday gathering in NYC.
Todd the Bod scored BIG bonus points for that one!
Annnddd. more miscellany.
Ok, so the time to guess has come.  How many ornaments do you think were on my family tree?
I will be sending a prize to the person who guesses closest without going over.
And if you want to comment, but don't know how.  Well, I don't either.  I know you need a google account. I had to open a yahoo email account, and then I could post away!
St. Jude ornament from the year we became really close to that place.  2004
And a couple of Santas who might go to live on Ellie Sue's tree next year, seeing as her tree is all red and white Santas.

Uh oh... here's one for Jake.
And would ya look at that bare tree?!  It was a true labor of love.  It only takes a month or so to get my house back in order!  ha.  Not really.  I just kind of space the whole process out or it'd drive me insane!
So, place your vote.  If you can't go back to my facebook page where I linked this post and place it there.  And if you win, I'll let you know tomorrow on mymojoy.com.
And might I add, this "Happy Campers" RV ornament was one of the more classic prize ornaments from our Olla Christmas exchanges.  For all of you who have "pretty trees" and have been inspired to let er rip next year.  Well, consider the RV ornament.  Would I have picked it up and chosen it in a store?  Not likely.  But the fact that I got "stuck" with it in the Christmas Dirty Santa exchange really makes me happy!  And so now it is a special memory.  Like every one of the ornaments I took down off my tree, wrapped individually and stacked in a box in my attic.  (Currently there are 34 Rubbermaids from Christmas in the attic... and another 4 in Ellie's room, 3 in mine).  I still have the loft, LSU room, and Gabbi girl's to go. Who wants bloody marys and a day of fun conversation this weekend?!  Ha.
Good luck with your guess.  And thanks for being patient with  me during this trip down memory lane.

  2. My guess is 575! I love all of your ornaments. It reminds me of my family Christmas tree. Mom still insist on putting up the ornaments my sister and I made as kids. We want her to leave them off, but she never does.

  8. I have to admit I'm sad your ornament journey has come to an end. I've been taking my tree down this week (because my 2 yr old has been de-ornamenting it the past two weeks) Lots of reminiscing has been taking place doing it though so think I might be close to done by this weekend.
My guess is going to be 1234 (one of my favorite numbers) Though my husband says I should guess 963 (a special number) At first thought these were too high until I started taking mine down and realized how quickly the number of ornaments add up.
