ULM Ballgame more pics.

Hey Marjorie! I don't know if you are a regular MoJoy reader, but so happy to read your comment yesterday, and so glad that Jacob is excelling. (always figured he would!)

Anyhooooo...

We took a few more pics from the ballgame the other night. And because so many of you asked...
YES, IT IS an unspoken rule that all little southern girls wear their bows. I think I would rather my girls have on their bows than their pants!
and if you are not wearing a bow, then you had better have something monogrammed! And that is the southern girl's way! And if you want to be super duper in the zone... monogram your bow!!

Did I happen to mention that the ballgame I am referring to was on St. Paddy's Day?! Well, Gabbi Girl was good to go with her shiny green shoes!
And Maddi had on a monogrammed shamrock dress, but never faced the camera for me to show you. Staci has been carrying the cutest holiday dresses/ shirts in her store. Just in case she is reading this, she TOLD me that she was going to get me Easter egg shirts and dresses with my babies' names on them for Easter. Buuuuuttt..... I have yet to see them. And because I just found a stash of hand me down Easter dresses that we now have to wear every day (and maybe even change midday!) between now and Sunday, we don't need anymore holiday gear. Lucky for her!

I will say that she was proactive in the Easter dress department. We are dressing the three girls in matching dresses, OF COURSE, with their names planted across the chest!

Ellie's is lavender, Gabbi's is teal, and Maddi's is light blue. They are going to be a vision!!

Well looks like I have exhausted all pics that others so graciously uploaded for me. Sooner or later I will be all backed up by Carbonite! And then I can officially hit DELETE and start loading up new ones.

Luckily we have an Easter egg hunt tomorrow at MMPT, dyed Easter eggs tonight at JinJin's, have an annual egg hunt on Saturday at Staci's, and then those matching dresses on Sunday! LOTS of photo ops!

We love us some baseball season! The weather is getting prettier and prettier, so expect more baseball game pics from the Groves. and of course, some pretty awesome Easter pics!

If you are local, come out and par-tay with us on Thursday at 4:00 at MMPT in West Monroe. We have about 1,000 eggs and lots of goodies. We have someone bringing farm animals for a petting zoo and there will be crafts and face painting. Come on out and enjoy! Oh... and of course, PICTURES!!

Shreveport Clinic

Didn't I mention that last year, in the biggest recession in my lifetime, I decided it was time to open two new clinics. This, in itself, was unprecedented in the 15 year history of my company!
And want to know why I thought it would be a good idea?! Because of these people....
This is the staff of my Shreveport clinic. I trust them with my reputation, and that is really saying a lot! Because... as you know, the name of my clinic is "Melanie Massey Physical Therapy" and they are an hour and a half away, so I certainly can't be there to supervise them regularly.

This is a group that I had to KNOW in the depths of my soul would be able to carry out the mission of my company... "to joyfully use our gifts to brighten the lives of others."

and so far.... so good!!

Baldy, here...
is Ron. Ron drove an hour and a half (one way) daily for the past three years to work in our West Monroe office. This boy was ded-i-ca-ted! He KNOWS what we expect of our therapists and how we liek to treat our patients and their families. And I knew that I wanted him to continue to be part of our Shreveport MMPT family!

Karl, in the blue, is my regional clinical director and shares the burden of "everything else" with me. He is truly, truly a God send! I am so thankful to have him in my company and as my partner in this whole endeavor!

This is Jamie. Jamie has been a part of MMPT since before she was even a therapist. She worked for my company as an OT tech, and liked it so much she decided to go to OT school down in Florida. Recently, she made the decision to move back to Florida, as she feels this is where she is meant to be. We will miss her.
This would be me. With an azalea that was blooming downstairs at our office. I LOVE fresh flowers.... especially in my hair.
And speaking of hair... look at Elvis's hair/ sideburns sitting back there behind me.
Did I say I had complete confidence in this crew?!
Oh man! Jenn, in the turquoise, is the clinic director in Shreveport clinic, and is proving herself to be very worthy as a leader.

Cheryl, in the hot pink, runs the office there. She is one of those rare breed, one of a kind fruitcakes who is just so much fun to be around. This whole crew is just a perfect combination!
Just wanted to introduce you to some of the rest of my staff. If in Shreveport... come visit us... in Buckner Square. Especially if you need PT, OT, or ST!!

Ring-Around-the-Rosie

Have I mentioned how much my little Gabbi Girl is blossoming?

Well, she is!

Saying more. Doing more. Smiling more. Doing a shimmy with her shoulders which just cracks me up!
And then there's this....
Ring around the Rosie.

The child LOVES it! She would do this over and over and over again!

And thankfully, so would her "babysitters" at the ULM ballgame last week! They are all of 8 years old, so they LOVED being babysitters, and Mama LOVED having them enjoy all this responsibility.

Look at Gabbi. She is looking at Miss Gracie with such admiration!
And then the rest of the crew joined in...

there's Emma, Kaitlyn, and two more little punks... Ellie and Maddi joined in!
Gabbi seriously felt like it was Heaven to be with all those big girls!

Oh to be young again! I am LOVING being a mama and watching my babies get to be sweet little babies!

Gabbi ponytail & Ellie chapstick and Q52, #12.

Sorry about the choppy, all over the place week of blogging. I have that whole computer issue still going on, and am at the mercy of others to upload my pics. Then, add that everything in Louisiana is in full bloom, so Mel's sinuses are rebelling, and well, I just haven't felt very well at all this week. Oh, that and Daddy has been out of town, so I have been tending to two toddlers alone.

Ok, I'm done! All my excuses and complaining is over! Sometimes you just gotta get it out, (ain't that right, Sheridan? I think of people like you when I am being a tit! My problems really aren't problems at all! )

So, let's turn it around... CHeck out my big girl in her big girl ponytail!
When I pull her hair back, I think she looks so much older. Her poor little hair growth pattern is strange to say the least. I need to get a picture of it, as a matter of fact. She has two majorly big crowns in the back that both swirl inward so that all her hair grows straight forward and toward the middle. I have been trying to keep a barrette in it to "train" it to the side or at very least keep it from perpetually annoying her.
Here. You can kinda see how all that hair is going forward, except the ponytail helps a lot! Can you tell how the hair has to kinda hump up to go backwards? That is because we are fighting against the grain!
And here is Miss Thang at the table, unable to finish her lunch because I suppose her lips are just so dang chapped! I know that must be an annoyance to her too!

This is the afternoon she plowed through two entire tubes of glip gloss during one meal!

See she thinks that she has to dig every bit of the gloss out with her fingers or she isn't done.
And then, my favorite part of the procedure is to watch her loudly smack those lips together.... you know... to get her lips on evenly!
By the way, Todd and I aren't even that big of wine drinkers, but I think I have told the story before about how we both signed up for a wine club, unknowingly, that sent us two bottles a month, (x2, so FOUR) for about a year. We both just thought it was a very generous wine club. So, now we have a big collection! I always have people over who want wine, and since I don't know how to choose wine (despite my year membership TO a wine club), we always have something for people to choose from when they are over. Thought I had bess clear that up since there are like 30 bottles in the background.

My guess is they will still be there the next time I take kitchen table pictures.

Question #12 from last week!!
What is your favorite thing about living where you live? ( this could mean your hometown, your physical house, or your neighborhood, as in the case of Mindy!!)

As for this week: Question #13:
Nah, I will wait til mid week. Sorry, Amy. And by the way, do you have a particular favorite definition of "restoration"? I was going to add one to your canvas , then thought you may have a favorite. Holla if so.

Have a happy SUnday.

Canvases ready to head out. And a kit waiting in the wings.

Guess what... been doing some painting. And guess what.... some are orders, and some are up for grabs!

Like this one...
I painted this big ol' apple thinking about a teacher's gift at year's end. I had someone ask me back around Christmas if I could get some teachers' gifts done for the end of the year. I don't know who that was or what they wanted, so I decided to do a little generic one. It is 11x14, so it is $40 and of course, I can personalize it. Lemme know.

And this one...
It is only partially completed. I decided to stop because according to who wants it, I want to add the correct number of candles and a big ol' "3" or "1" or whatever on the cake.
I haven't painted the base yet either. So, if you like it and know of someone who needs it on an easel at their upcoming birthday party, holla! I will add a name or whatever! Also $40 at an 11x14 size.

These are all 11x14 sizes and are all lying across my kitchen table presently! The heart with peace is still just like that, so a few more colors could be added if you would like. And of course a name or a word of the year, or a special phrase or whatever.... be in touch!
I just don't know if I can let the "Lucky" go. I am totally and completely in love with that canvas. And I am pretty sure that Ellie's new comforter is going to be grey and the greenish color is definitely going to be the color of her wall. sooooo....

I just don't know. But it would be a great canvas for a boy's room! I tend to do more girlish things. Wonder why!
And speaking of girly things... I am also kinda crazy about "Bloom, Baby, Bloom". I did that one thinking of my girls. Remember at Christmas, I did one for Gabbi Girl that said, "Let your little light shine." I like those uplifting, self-fulfilling, optimistic type words to surround them! My Poppa did that for me when I was a little bitty and it impacted my life in a very positive way!

Ok, fleur-de-lis canvases are always a popular choice. So, I decided to do a few of those too. I am crazy about that metallic paint. It looks different from different angles. Also an 11x14 at $40. I would paint a name or word across the bottom in a dark tone so it can cover up the lighter swirls if wanted.
And can you even believe it?! I am already gearing up for Christmas orders. Every time I paint canvas orders (and don't worry, you peeps who have orders in, I did lots of yours too!), I am going to throw in a few "extras" and definitely some Christmas ones! I only did about 300 at Christmas, so I am getting ahead of the game this year. If you are also a year round Christmas gift buyer, contact me and I can add a name to this one. $40.
One of my employees ordered this one for a friend of hers who lost her little 14-month-old daughter, Erin, last week. How tragic! I cannot even imagine that! Purple was her favorite color.
Seeeeeee? More Christmas paintings. A 16x20 elf shoes canvas, 2 11x14 red glittery ornaments, an 11x14 red and green present, and a 14x14 cool square one with two gifts that need a couple of tags on the gifts to personalize them. Give me a holler to call dibs on the one you want.
Hey, Amy. These are your twins' canvases for their cribs....

This one if for Owen...
and this one is for Campbell.
They each got a little white added to them because I thought they needed a little lightening up. They also got their respective Bible verses painted on the bottom in brown and a little white name in cursive in their green letters.

And now, Amy, since you asked, I will be getting together a whole big ol' bunch of smocked dresses ready for sale. What sizes are you interested in? And are you interested in other outfits too and what about little girl shoesies?! I have many, many! Holla!

Ok, back to canvases. This one is a little 8x10 and is $35. Left the bottom open for personalization.

Apparently I was in a holiday mood! I did this Easter egg that I could add a name to or a springy phrase. I also like something like, " You are Egg-stra special."
I wish I had put the picture of the shamrock with the words on it that Mary Allison's mom bought and send to her other, less special and spectacular daughter, Elaina. ONLY kidding! Elaina just won a role at Dis-a-ney World in the Star Wars show as some kind of mean ol temptress who dies after a battle with a light saber. I am serious! If in Orlando, go see her in the show. Anyway, since she is several states away, pam bought a shamrock that said, "I am LUCKY to be your mom" and sent it to her for St. Paddy's Day. Cute idea. But, I love the idea of a plain ol "Lucky" too. Or "lucky to be your friend", "lucky to have a friend like you", "lucky to be your sister", blah blah blah. If you are interested, let me know how you'd like it personalized.
I have a dalmation canvas completed, a Christmas one that was paid for way back in December via PayPal for you B.L., a plane, (but not yet its compadre, the truck), a football for a nursery going to Pensacola, and hmmm... ummmm... I can't think what else right now. And, I have a bracelet in the works for Kendra!

So, there you have it. Let me know if you are thinking about a particular canvas and I can get it out fairly quickly. Oh, and about that ribbon necklace kit, it is totally packed up and ready for shipping. I think I have 27 available. However, I have to take the time to take a picture of the completed project, find a computer that I can upload it onto, and find the time to type up the directions vs. get Mary Allison to video me putting it together, and then, post it on a blog. As soon as all of these planets line up, there will be a ribbon kit on the blog for el-purchase-o. It is coral with springy colors on the ends.

Mo, the wanna-be artist.

The Girlies go to Ruston....

So our Daddy is out of town on a boys' golf trip. Back tomorrow... woo hooo!
That leaves mama trying to get to work (or to a college this morning to teach pediatric to a group of PTA students) an hour + away! My sitter on Wednesday is in college herself until 10:30, leaving mama in a quandry!

Enter Jessi. Yaaaaay, Jessi! She met me bright and early at the Ruston clinic prepared to hang on to my little rabbits (that's what Miss Jean calls them) until KK could come get them and take them to their respective very important days. For Gabbi that seems to always include therapy!

Anyhoo, because it was Jessi, and because I KNEW she would.... I left the camera conveniently in the diaper bag. She snapped the following pics for me, loaded them onto her computer, then posted them in blogger for me to tend to when I got home. I think I need a full time staff for that. Talk about taking a load off. Thanks, Jess!

So, anyway, she told me that she made a few comments with the pictures so I could see what the girls were doing around the clinic this morning. I decided to leave them just like she wrote them because I thought they were pretty funny. Hope you enjoy!

**This is when they were taking a pretend trip. When asked where they were going, Ellie said "Dis-a-ney World with Mama".
**We took a walk outside. Ellie tried her best to hold Gabbi's hand,...
but Gabbi wasn't having it.
**Ellie stacked the stools. Everytime she turned around Gabbi would steal one and stack them back up.
Then Ellie did her "tricks" with Katie.
Yoga pose. AGAIN.
Aunt Kimie came by to get her some baby girl lovin'!

**Ellie ditched her pigtails for a clippy...how 1992 of her.
And that concludes our March 24, 2010. It was a fun one!

Can't wait to see what adventure tomorrow will bring.

Outside with my girls.

Ok, tonight's big thank you goes to Donna, from the MMPT billing department, who uploaded pics from my camera today to her computer at the office and right onto my blogspot spot!

I even left her free reign to choose the photos as she saw fit and I told her I would "tell the story" according to the pics she chose.

This is my little "twoddler". I am thinking this is the word for the toddler who thinks she is a "tween"! ANd for SHO, this is what Ellie thinks she is!

I am a little to blame, though. I mean, I rarely put on the denim! In fact, these crystal-pocketed beauties were hand-me-downs from Maddi to Gabbi. I had to go and buy a belt so Ellie could even wear the things. Ellie is a shrimp. I'm just sayin'!

And, of course, she had to accessorize with a cuff of sorts, an Ed Hardy-esque jacket and some hot pink Converse. Sooooo MILEY!

Prior to the SNOW this weekend, our weather has been getting better and better! And I, for one, LOVE the time change! I LOVE getting home from work and still having time to play outside for hours!
We called our buddy Sarah over for some fun in the front yard.

Sarah decided it was about time for Ellie to learn that cartwheel!!

Do flashbacks of "Punky Brewster" come to mind? This kid is full of spunk!

She saw Sarah riding the trike down the front hill and followed suit. Not really a good idea for a twoddler!

I love this picture. It so captures my Ellie's love of life! Those flowing pigtails! Oh the fun we are going to have together! I can't wait til we are travelling together as a family and learning about all kinds of fun things!
Ellie keeps us guessing with her shananigans.

And this picture, to me, represents PURE JOY!
This is happiness all bottled up!
If only I had not cut her head off!

Other than the trike fun, we also all took a turn at rolling down the hill. Talk about some cheap fun!

There's Miss PUnky again. I am going to miss this house! And this front yard!

A collective, AWWWWWWWW, now!
Of course, I wouldn 't leave out my Gabbi Gull!

Sarah has the only swing on our end of the street, so we just hang out at her house in the evenings. Surely Staci and Don are going to go in with us on a combined awesome swingset system. Ooooh, that is going to be so, so fun!

And let' s conclude this post with Mo's very dark hair with a horrible part in it!
But that doesn't matter. What does matter is that my baby girls were happy to play with their mama. And their mama was happy to play with them!!
More posts coming every single day this week! Tell your friends. Tell them to tell their friends.
Mo is BACK!
